Need some advice

Hi folks -

I'm new to growing and have a plant that i started outside, then brought inside a little over two weeks ago to start the flowering cycle. It is in a closet under a 150 watt HPS lamp and looks to be doing well - lots of bud sites and what started out as white hairs that are now turning yellow. it looks pretty promising.
In the last few days, I've noticed what looks like crystals on the leaves. They reflect light and are very shiny. Also, I've noticed the leaves themselves have developed small whitish spots and seem to have dulled as well. I guess my questions are, 1 - are the crystals normal? and 2 - does anyone have a guess as to what the small spots might be.

Crystals are the trichs, more the better. The white spots could be spider mites. Keep an eye out for real small spider webs and look on the underside of the leaves with a magnifying glass to see if you see any bugs.

thanks for the reply. i'll post a couple of pictures when i get home tonite. i've had spider mites before and was able to get rid of them. what i have this time doesn't look quite the same. maybe the pictures will help.....good news about the crystals, though! thanks again
