Eperienced grower.. protocol for grower/patient?

Greetings. I have several years of growing experience under my belt and take this "hobby" very seriously. Probably too seriously. I finally got motivated to get my card and become legal. The one person that I supply keeps telling me to expand my operation.

As a working professional and father of two, I have always kept my operation VERY low key. Like, super below the radar with P.O. boxes in relays, shell companies, etc. etc. Color me paranoid, but I have never had anyone ask me to sell them weed and the cops have never showed up at my doorstep.

I am wondering what the typical situation is in terms of the patient/grower relationship? Do you provide medicine at a low cost? Do you simply give them a specified amount free every month? I know that it probably varies from situation to situation but just wanted to get some info.

Do growers ever do background checks on their patients? I mean, someone will know exactly where you are growing their marijuana....

The grower/patient relationship is not modeled after some specified outline. This arraingment is designated by you and your patient(s). Some (most I know) growers provide the patients medicine at NO COST for a specific amount each month (ie. 1-4oz). The patient knows that you can flower 6 plants in that persons name and 4oz can EASILY be produced from 1-2 plants. With that said, the excess is donated to other patients waiting for their crop to harvest or to a compassion center open for donations for other patients unable to grow for themselves. Each situation is different and is entirely based on how compassionate or 'money hungry' you are. Even with an avid INDOOR grow your only adding $100 or less to your utility bills! Charging more than $100 per month or $50 per ounce for a patient is just being greedy. With outdoor yeilds this is easily shot down due to the amount you can produce with unlimited grow space. I know growers that produce outside once a year only and DO NOT CHARGE one copper penny for thier harvest, they ONLY ask you be a legit OMMP current card holder and they offer TONS of assistance in starting your own grow operation. Being a grower is an angelic position to hold. You can make or break dreams for a patient! I hope your the kind that makes patients dreams come true. I hope this helps.
