I hang mine upside down, with no light, for about 2 to 3 weeks. But I wanted to know some other good ways, to make the buds nice and tasty, in this high humidity area........chris

This is how I dry my buds in a very humid environment. In a perfect world I will take what I can trim right off the plant for the day. Leave smaller buds behind to mature.
Once cut and trimmed. I put them on hangers and into the attic they go. I run a small fan constantly to move the air around. Takes about a week to lose enough moisture to almost smoke.
After a week upstairs I bring them down , take them off the stem and put them on screen mesh for another week. If we get a lot of rain, I will put the cages over the TV.
The dangerous part is from harvest to day 4. Hanging buds can mold, so keep your eye on them. Full darkness is not advised, and fans are a must.

Lastly if you get a scorcher day, use it. cover your racks with newspaper and leave them in the sun. Let ,em bake.

Good Luck

For me it depends on how low my personal supply has become.

If I need something ready to use in 7 days, I use desssicants (calcium chloride) to help rip the water out of the buds and stems. After 4 days of this, I'll clip and start curing in a jar with more dessicant. Within 7 days I'm fully dried (a little powdery on the breakup) and ready to smoke. Wonderful trick taken from my days as a shroomer.

If I'm in no hurry, clip, hang, and wait. That's about it.
