The Associated Press: Worm hits computers of staff at Iran nuclear plant (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jam2yTGb8W1t53gQ6S-RbSquSmiAD9IFORD00)

Gee.........I wonder where this originated from and who helped write the code. Funny stuff.

Apparently Stuxnet is a windows virus. The idea that Iran uses Windows to run a nuclear facility is probably just as scary as the idea that they have nuclear technology at all.

Are you kidding me.... Halliburton while Dick Cheney ran it sold the Iranians on the Windows operating system knowing they always had a back door. And Windows is full of backdoors. :D

Well, that's probably true.

I guess I figured a nuclear plant would run on some super stripped down UNIX type system, or some proprietary embedded OS.

Gives a whole new meaning to 'Blue Screen Of Death" :wtf:

Or Irans nuclear program is being run by a bunch of uneducated, religous kooks who havent a clue what they are doing. Windows for a nuclear plant.........GENIUS!

The systems effected were ran on an infrastructures system that the virus could effect.

I never really thought about what operating system a powerplant would use, I guess I had imagined some super basic, fully textual, data streams that only technicians could understand, but guess not.
