Didn't see the post, but guessing they spammed the forum across multiple threads & subforums and/or were advertising without paying for ad space. Just a guess though.

nah actually the product itself is ok lamppost, a few days into my using it anyway. I was thinking of you when I was using it this morning while out walking with my dog. I remember your post a while ago about coughing up crud and smoking too much.... me, too.

Then I read you had stopped smoking and were doing edibles - your note turned me on to the chewies which I like, too. Thanks.

So, I'm beat on smoking upteen joints a day, tired of inhaling butane with my bud or hash in a bowl, not liking the table top vaps I had in the past (too big of a contraption, not portable), I picked up one of the e-cigarettes at a dispensary last Sunday. Seems to work good with hash - small chunk wedged in plastic holder heats up nice and provides nice hits and keeps going and going and going, does good with hash oil too but I am not into oily... Great how it goes anywhere and a quick toke is mine very discretely anytime anywhere. Note - company guy says it goes between 120-160 dgerees and is ok to heat extracts and possibly hash but not bud which has been my experience, too.

Cons: dispensary I bought it from jacked price company sells them for on web by $40! Thing costs $80 on web with charger and five nicotine oil filler tubes. I got identical product minus the nicotine tubes for $120 at a dispensary I won't be returning to... My lesson - buy from company who makes it on web.

Another con - thing needs their little battery unit which doesn't open or fit size of AAA on shelf. Pretty cheap for spares from them and the thing charges quick and lasts long on a charge.

Anyway, I rambled. And I ain't a sales guy spamming the thing. It just has me enjoying portable, discreet toking in a way I never could before. I use it for my hash and a Miracle Flight Launch Box for all my bud (which I just started using and enjoying too but it doesn't do oils or hash as they clog screen). Nicer high, I am not smoking near as often or as much, and I woke up this morning 2 days into my combustion free stoned life and for the first time, no hacking up yuch!

My wife, little boy and I just completed a long road trip to Tempe and back and I would have loved having one of these - trying to fire a joint on a windy rest stop sucks...

Take what I say with a grain of salt of course - regular posters here are way, way more knowledgable than me on these matters, and in search of a better way to consume the blessed herb I might be missing something under the covers - but the thing is just seeming to work for me now and has me in a good place with herb. Same little chunk of hash I put in this a.m. is still giving me big hits now at 6 p.m. Like freakin' magic... Same battery on morning charge. I guess I hit it about 20 times or so throughout day. That's only "issue" - so easy, so discreet you can hit the shit out of it anywhere in a flash - and wasted sneaks up on me like it hasn't in a while. Unless I am missing something, this seems like a good deal to smoke hash with.

I mean, I am going to museum tomorrow with wife and kid - I like museum - I like being stoned at museum - I like being fresh stoned at museum. SO, now, I can. Big chunk of killer hash in e-ciggie, fresh charge on battery, and fresh stoned is as easy as a quick duck around corner, hit or two - silent, no smell. Bingo, e-cig back in pocket. Back to wife and kid and museum.

Colorado E-smokes is the company on the web I found. Talked to a guy named John who called me on my cell 10 minutes after I dropped an email asking for some info on their unit I got from the rip off dispensary. Told me warranty is a year but they replace free alot of atomizers every 3 months or so for nicotine users that hit the living shit out of it all day and burn 'em out. You can get extra ones for $20 or so but he told me no need as they replace 'em free. I figure if the things can handle the amount a typical - whatever that is - nicotine user smokes they should last a while with us hash users.

Sorry, never read your original post, so just assumed someone was spamming.

Anyway, I've seen these ecigs up close but never used one (well I did try a drag but didn't seem to be working or something). The one I saw uses a small liquid filled tube. Is that the tube you are putting the hash in?

Would be pretty stealthy if I knew for sure how it works

I'm buying a Magic-Flight as soon as I can. I love the concept and the seeming Karma of the company. The reviews that I've seen are mostly all raves, and what people don't like about it when they have an issue, won't matter to me.

I think Fatwallet has them for like $90 (Total Package) shipped.

I didn't do the original post - never saw it. lampost asking about it caught my eye this morning when I looked at board. Think of a three part cigarette - half is the battery, another quarter is the burner, last quarter is a small receptacle that is the end cap of the "cigarette" - in there nicotine users (and hash oil users) place a little sponge thing to hold liquid. Instead, I just put a piece of hash in end of the receptacle closest to burner section so it gets heat..

I got a Magic Flight too Steve and it is great for herb. I love it. SO subtle - as you say the company has great vibe. No moving parts, thing is cool - tastes woody and herby. Little load in trench gets me wasted. Make sure you get full kit they give you - I saw where some got stripped down kit - company is so cool they are sending whatever was lacking.

hey Steve, Buddha Man, Lampost- any of you wanna test run it I can meet for coffee and etc. I am free most weekdays in my laid off post-high tech sales world. I'm 55, been smoking herb most of my life, and don't know much of the growing and varied expertise side of the herb world as do you and many here. I have enjoyed reading and learning from your posts - and have been impressed with your genuine niceness, and it'd be a privilege to meet some of you in person as I am a bit of a loner now with my high tech "friends" gone along with the job.

i got mine at heads of state for $90. it's novel; not the most ideal piece ever, but it will certainly do in a pinch. i tend to have both black and green in the duff.

i also had an iolite and i prefer the launch box a million to one.

I love my launch box. It will char and eventually burn the herb if you hold the battery in too long, but once you get a feel for it it works quite well.

It is very stealthy, if you don't use the stem extension the whole thing can be cupped in the hands, and it pretty much looks like you are just blowing on them to warm them up, or maybe praying. ;)

The only real complaint I have is that it doesn't work well at sub freezing temperatures. No problem for most people, but I spend a lot of time outside in the winter.

I've been on the look for a portable vaporizor too. When I read I could source one locally, I went and bought one yesterday. Bike's post below is pretty accurate. Took a day to get the hang of it, and I really like it. Different than the ssv for sure, maybe not as tastey but I don't need a plug in for this and can take it anywhere.

Taste was the one thing that I thought might suffer, and that's a bit sad.

Thanks for the info. They just look SO cool, I love the logo and the website, and the little saying about Love (Which I had never heard before) AND the price. I mean, they could have charged $175.00 or $200.00 for this couldn't they?

Have you all seen how some people rigged up a soda cup to stash their M-F in? Too Cool.

I can't wait.

For me, putting fire to a bowl of natures blessing is a total sensory experience. Aroma, taste, result and effect are key considerations when I purchase, smoke, and partake. Anything that degrades the taste, which is very important to me, causes me dismiss such delivery systems.

I love the fact that we have a site that discusses things like this. :smokin:

It could be user error still at this point too. I'm still getting use to it, I'm laid up at the house and not really going out where I really want to test this thing....I was not to sure about them until I saw one in person...thats why I really was glad that someone has them here in town. I went and looked and well, walked out with one after about 10 mintues.
But for 90 bucks it comes to you with everything you need to use it.
I did spend some extra cash on an Energizer Quickcharger at Best Buy, it has a wall plug and a car plug, sweet! And one 4 pack of those 2700mha batteries from Batteries+.
I just did a lot of research before I decided, it was this, the iolite, or the purple daze(?). I like the PD but it is again limited to a place with a plug from what I have seen, so it was out pretty fast.
This thing is tiny, I like that, plus a lifetime replacement warranty which I really like.

I definately want to hear what you think when you get yours.

IDifferent than the ssv for sure, maybe not as tastey...

Considering you have only had it for a day or so, I'm guessing you might still need to get the hang of it. Quite possible you heated for too long. It's my understanding it heats up a lot quicker then a ssv.

Please keep experimenting with heat times and let us know what you find out.

Thanks!

Will do! I did have a few good "trenches" today so I do believe it to be user issue. Plus I really gave the herb a better grind, the finer the better I've read, and it definately helped a bunch. Practice.......

I'll find that link. It was on some obscure board. If you have a "junk" email, I'll throw it to you. It cracked me up, but I bet it works.

And I can't wait to get back to vaping. I had a Vap Bros for a while and I LOVED The Flavor. Some people I know don't like it though. To each their own!

Hopefully we'll be able to get this by the end of the week

You're absolutely correct - I didn't mention that before. The grind can make a big difference too. I assumed you ground for your ssv about the same as the mag-fli so flavor should be about the same. I usually prefer a finer grind for vaping. Heat-up time & temp I think would make a bigger difference though. Wondering if the slower heat-up time for the ssv might help draw out the more subtle flavors or at least allow them more time to develop more.

Overall sounds like you like the mag-fli. Would you recommend it to others?

<misc rambling> Wish a company would come out with a small vaporizer, about the size of the magic-flight would be good, that has a built-in grinder. Just put your bud into the chamber, grind, heat, enjoy! I almost think the magic-flight could be modified to do so, but not positive. </misc rambling>

Enjoy practicing! Keep us updated on your research! ;)

Ok so a few days under my belt with this thing. I really like it and definately would recommend it to others.
Does it replace my SSV, no. But for out and about this thing is perfect. It will really open me back up to some hiking and stuff. I like the instant on/off and the size is crazy small, perfect!

The grind does totally make a difference. I too thought that my sharpstone 4pc would do the trick, my regular turn it and grind it till it has all fallen through is not fine enough. It has always done fine as long as I had done my part. Apparently that is not fine enough for most efficient vaping in this. I have to turn it upside down and grind a little longer than I normally would before turning it over and grinding till I think its all through. That is the finest I can get and it works perfectly at that point, next step up is a coffee grinder.

Taste has improved greatly with practice, a bit of a break in period of the box(I have read this else where and it seems true) and some more practice :stoned: helped that out. Still not as tastey as my SSV but pretty close now that I have the hang of it.

So far I have not needed more than the 2 batteries that it came with. One will last me 2 trenches, I could probably get 3 out of it but part way through that third one it is taking a lot longer to heat up. The quick charger is great to have(has a car adapter, sweet) and I know the 4 extra 2700mha batts will come in handy here down the road. I guess from there I can decide if I need more.

Now need to pickup a nice small 2-piece grinder - supposedly the ones with the diamond-shaped teeth work the best. A 2-piece is supposed to be easier to get a fine-grind than a 4-piece as there's no holes for the bud to fall through. Like you mentioned before the consensus seems to be- the finer the better.

I'll update once I get my hands on it and try it out. Crossing my fingers that she'll want to give it to me early so we both can try it!
