I shared a joint (weed + tabac) :rastasmoke: with a few friends about 2/3 weeks ago (my first time), and I'm scared because my body just doesn't feel right ever since.:(

Becasue I do have Obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety problems, the immediete hours following the smoke I just couldnt relax and paranoia began to hit me. I had a bit of a panic attack, during which I was disturbed to notice these tiny flashes or floaters in my vision and a slight loss of concentration in 1 eye.

Anyway, anxiety hit me BIG TIME the following week when I noticed this things were still in my field of vision ! I was absolutely terrified, an emotional wreck because I believed (still sort of do) that I had made a huge mistake and screwed up my vision and life for good. I started having periodic shooting eye pains as well which added to the anxiety. However, I went to the opticians and was given the all clear. After this I told myself to relax and began to feel a bit better.....the pain in my eyes eased up.

BUT.....in the 2nd week more symptons started to follow. I became light headed and weak, periodic earpain, changes in heart rate and had cold shakes many times during the day. I also began to experience chest pains and pressure on my head developed. It's been a horrible chain reaction, as the symptons intensified so did the anxiety and that led to me having horrible nightmares and difficulties getting a good nights sleep
.

I can't believe I'm saying this but my body shape is also slightly out of line. The head and neck are titled slightly away from body. And thats not something im imaging, because my friends have said that when they look closely they can spot it too. When I do force my body to align itself properly, I feel discomfort in my chest. The pressure on the head is still there, especially coming from the back. Sometimes when I bend down or I move my jaw when eating.....I don't know it's really difficult to explain but I experience pressure changes on my head and things just feel wrong.

I suppose my question is........is this sequence of symptons all to do with my stress/anxiety and my mind?.....Or has the marijuana created all or parts of this and messed up my body?

On a broader note.......should people like myself with OCD/anxiety brain chemistry smoke marijuana. Are the risks greater for us?

Depending on what you smoked determines how you feel. Also Marijuana only shows you problems that are already there. If your prone to anxiety and massive panic attacks like me(I have a adrenaline disorder, if u think your's are bad try having one of mine, youd pass out from hyper ventalation) then the weed will bring it to your attention. Its up to you to face it or "run" from it. I suggest staying away from Sativa's as they make your brain very active and speed heart rates above that of a Indica. Indica's are more of that couch lock , I have the munchies high.Indica's are Bad if your at work but great for Panic attacks. But be warned only High CBD, Low THC will give tht affect which are far and few sense most strains bred now are all High THC close to no CBD.
I have a few strains that are Anti-Anxiety and I'm working on a high CBD low THC for medical uses with Panic disorders and chronic Paranoia. Check back with me in 5 months....
SATIVA
Anti-Anxiety(panic): Strawberry Cough
Low THC:Arjans Strawberry Haze
INDICA
Anti-Anxiety(panic): Mandala #1, Blueberry Kush
Low THC: White Rhino (13.35% @ 0.77% CBD) be careful with this one. Take a hit and see how it makes you feel. The low CBD count will still make this hit hard as hell despite the lower THC... if it was like 13% with 1.0+ CBD it would be soooo much better lol...
Also a tip if your feeling panic attacks messed up vision, extreme room spinning, tell yourself its just the Herb pointing out my flaws, take deep breaths, focus on breathing and relax, dont"try" to relax... DO IT
take a Bottle of water, take small sips and go for a walk(alwayz helps me) if your vision is to bad, grab a glass of milk and drink that slowly while doing the breathing exercise, focus really hard on just the breathing and keep telling yourself your fine, in a little youll calm down and the end of the high will start(to me the best part ^^) youll feel happy, less on edge, sleepy, little hungry and generaly good. Youll relize it was all in your head...
With Mandala and Stawberry cough you should really never get to that point...
Hopefully I helped

Smoking weed when you have panic disorder is just going to make you miserable... If you do use smoke only Indica and just a little at a time....

I had a flare up of panic attacks about 10 years ago after smoking pot. But there were a lot of other things going on in my life so I'm not sure if I can attribute it all to the marijuana. I'm 40 now and things have really smoothed out since then so I wouldn't worry that you've permanently hurt yourself.

Your symptoms all sound like they could fall under the umbrella of anxiety of panic disorder. Basically people with panic disorder can become hyper sensitive to feelings and sensations in the body. The slightest little sensation can trigger a flurry of scary thoughts that border on hyperchondriasis. You then react to the scary thoughts as if they are revealing some kind of truth about your health when really it's all just BS! Your nervous system gets dialed up really high from the scary thinking and makes you even more sensitive to your body's sensations. The marijuana may have been a trigger but it has long since left your system so anything going on now is just mental worry about your health. Try to ignore the fears and move forward with your life. Go about things like nothing is wrong. Get up, go to work/school. Eat. Sleep. Date. Whatever. Just keep doing things like normal.

Btw, I joined this site because I am fascinated with the CBD high strains. I haven't smoked in 10 years and would like to smoke again but I want to avoid the paranoia and panic! I hope more research is done. I do remember how pot would sometimes relax me and other times freak me out. It must have been different strains!

Also, If you're not a regular tobacco smoker mixing it with Cannabis can have a MUCH different affect than just cannabis. When i first started smoking cigarettes i'd get dizzy, throw up, and get the shakes, if i had previously smoked bud.
