Looking for Fellow Growers around SoCal, Just to talk to , kick it with, swap info, and help support the Movement. I'm in complience with the California Health and Saftey Code 11362.5 and SB-420, have both Growing License and Personal License's as well as I started my own Non Profit Organization to supply medical Mrijuana to people in need.
If your like me and supporting the movement dont be afraid to say hi, post pics of some strains, maybe if you have some genetics I don't I can trade you for some you dont. Looking for healthy Males of Confirmed Genetics for breeding projects, as all my females are 100% proven to be what I say they are.
I have quite a few different Strains and all very healthy.
I may be young and may still be a Novice but my knowledge far surpass's most due to detication, a lot of reading, and meeting other more advanced growers and learning from them.

I live in Sherman Oaks, California.
So, do I need a grower's license in order to legally grow marijuana? A patient card is not enough?
And I guess I better set up a non-profit organization, too.

A growers License Allows for a max of 99 plants, you can reach the max by adding people under your care. For each person you get an additional 6 adualt's or 12 immature. You must have their script (copy) (I file all ours) on hand at all time just in case. Yes a Non-Profit would allow you to supply to Dispenseries and also any patients you grow for.

So, I have a question...
Well, I took an online video course from 420college.biz, but I'm still a bit confused.
The video presentations didn't say anything about needing to get a grower's license if you were starting a grow operation, they just said that you needed to start a non-profit mutual benefit corporation. They also said that you can grow marijuana for any collective you belong to.
So, if I grow marijuana for multiple collectives, do I still need to have my own non-profit mutual benefit corporation?
Also, legally, aren't I allowed to grow up to 6 full grown plants for myself without having to start my own collective? Could I legally sell these plants to another collective?

You Don't , a growers permit this just adds 9/9 per patient you have under your care up to 99plants. No you don't need to start a Non-Profit to grow more than your legal limit of 18 (9 babies and 9 adults), just the permit. You can ask that you doctor ups your limit because the 18 that is the baseline isn't enough. Now to Distribute to Dispensaries or the Public, yes you will need a Non-Prof. And don't get me wrong starting a non-profit doesn't mean you don't pay taxes. You'll see if you start one lol... It just means you don't have to charge sales tax, you still have to report income, show proof of an exemption, and pay property tax on a building. Its not as easy as people think, That's why dispensaries have to charge so much. True their overhead isn't enough to have to charge 65+ an 1/8th but hey that's just Capitalism. I can't hate how they run it, I just try to be $10 or more cheaper than them at all times to help people save money without going bankrupt. Most dispensaries if your legal under guidelines will buy off you to support local growers. The only thing is they are going to want it at least half of whatever it goes for on the streets... EX: Skywalker is 370oz, so they want it for like 130oz from you at least, so they can jack the prices up.

i got a plant growin now indoors in a store bought grow house. the plant is still a bit young..about 5 or 6 weeks old, appx. 6 or 7 inches tall, with about 6 or 7 internodes. i just started on nutes yesterday, since its about that time to do so. how tall do you fellow green thumbs let your plants get, on average, before switching to a 12/12 photoperiod for flowering?

11-17-2010, 09:28 PM
i also forgot to ask.. what do you all think about a fert with 12-6-6 nute percentage for the vegetative stage? i figure itd be good since theres more n than p and k, which is what you want for vegging. i used the same fert last time with good results.

usually (depending on the strain) I let them get anywhere from 12-14 inches tall, about as thick as a pen, and at least 3 weeks old. That sounds like a pretty good Nute program, I run Organic so mines a little lower but yea urs should work really well. Just make sure to slowly switch for bloom. I use a close to even balance the first week of bloom then cut off the nitrogen. You have to remember that the 1st week the plant more or less still thinks its vegging and a hard switch I found stresses the plants or kinda stunts the size of buds. But hey what do I know, my 5 foot tall Skywalker that's in bloom also listens to Mozart :D....
ZeroWingX
11-25-2010, 02:38 PM
(you wont see 14 inch tall 3 week old plants till you get better genetics and little more experience so don't feel bad ^^, at 5-6 weeks my plants are around 2-2.2ft tall and are either pre-blooming or into their first real week of bloom.)
Oh yea I almost forgot make sure to Neem dat hoe DOWN. Usually cutting from these dispensaries are a little dirty. Bad hygiene will cause it to catch mites. If you start a clone or neo on Neem oil bath's early I found it helps resist 2 kinds of mold and those damn Spider Mites. If you get em later on I'll suggest an Organic oil mix that you can use, it'll wipe em out but puts a fair amount of stress on the plant so only use it 1nce a week just to keep them away, and make sure since you are in a tent to maintain a CLEAN workspace. I use Anti-Bacterial wipes (for my hands and feet I don't wear shoes or socks in the tents) and clean clothes whenever I enter my Grow spaces, only go in for what I need and get out. I clean the floors Bi-Weekly and completely disinfect everything, floor, walls, poles, netting, even the light switch. Quality control is important and go's a LONG way.

This is my first time growing I got me a 4x4 ebb and flow system. my plants are about 7weeks old. There about 2feet tall now. I was using a humidifier in my grow tent and notice that the two plants closest to the humidifier leaves were burning so i stop the humidifier. But the leves are burnt so should i cut them off or leave it alone? I have the Sour Grape strain so when should i go to 12/12 hours? Any help would be great thanks.

Hey there fellow grower. I am in Santa Barbara currently but sometime in the next month I plan on securing a new location. I am curious about other counties, eg. Ventura county and south. I have a feel for up here (Santa Barbara) and I am trying to find out more about growing in other areas. some of the information I am looking for is, Are the local sheriffs hyper against grow houses, are there a lot of busts in the county... basically I am just looking for a friendly new county to grow in. Santa Barbara is really nice but expensive, so if I can find a new area with 2 or 3 bedroom houses for around $1,500 or less I will consider that area an option.
I like the idea of this thread, we should indeed form a good tight network in southern California. Why the hell not, after all we are all crazy in love with weed, and hopefully dig the idea of supplying people with the medicine they need.

Just started a closet grow 2X2X6 inside is covered in mylar got a 125W Hyrdofarm CFL on 18/6 and some Blackberry seeds I purchased from a seed bank. Placed both in Rapid Rooter cubes 6 days ago. They have sprouted, their first lil leaves are exposed, and the roots have broken through the cube so I transplanted them into some Biocanna Coco fiber they seem to be doing pretty good I plan on feeding them some Bio-Vega soon...

I in no way would like to get anyone in "trouble" My lawyer does all my legal crap I just grow for patients man. My limit and the average 18 plant limit are different. But I don't go over my legal limit and wouldn't want anyone to either. The goal is to stay out of trouble while supply great smoke. Not get shackled for being stupid.

Oh man I hope I'm not to late! lol I know I haven't been on for a while I been mass growing and got a little Bizzy. But sounds to me like you sire have a N(Nitrogen) Problem. this also contributed to your slow growth and overall stunted plant. Your buddies soil although probably rich in Microlife doesn't have any kind of build other than that. You need buffering agents and Nutes fro the plant to draw from. I average around 3-6foot plants depending on strain and have even had to flower early because the soil I mix is that good. Its all about what you put in. But you need N ASAP get online and order Alaskan Fish Fert. Grab some Organic woodchip mulch from a local store. Use that as a top layer around 1 inch thick. Use Roots Organic Serene with the Fish fert and Black strap unsulfared Molasses with a spoonfull of Roots Organic "Organism XL" in a Gal of Milk container, an aquarium pump running a airstone in it and let that brew with filtered or bottle water in it for around 18 Hours. Use that with the wood chips up top and read my previous post about some stuff u can stick in the soil. I know its late but hopefully you find this...

True to a point. I mean I try not to charge crazy prices for Meds. The goal of me growing is simply to offer help to people and do a hobby I love to do. Nothing more nothing less, but I have since made a VIP selection of the very very very top shelf meds I breed. These are the elite and absolute best of a strain I have and are near perfect. These are 60-75 an 8th but they are connoisseur herb and I offer regular top shelf for 50 and mid for 35-45. The VIP are usually low yielding HARD hitting strains that took me months to create or find, and the ONLY reason they are so much.
