How can cannabis clubs grow their pot?

Is it legal for the cannabis clubs to grow their pot? I thought the most a person can grow is 6 plants and 12 seedlings?

Do other mmj users that grow plants sell their pot to clubs?
Can Registered mmj users sell excess pot to clubs?

it is federally illegal, so the dea can bust them. And they do once in a while. Its currently in the supreme court whether or not to make states be able to decide their own pot laws for medecine. Decision on it is expected by summer.

from what i have read and talk to others about pot clubs. they buy and resale weed. i`ll ask a freind for some info. i think del... or someone else could answer this better than i can.

I was just wondering cuz I was thinking about starting up a pot club. My area doesn't have one and the closest one is like at least an hour away. I know that there are alot of people here that could benefit. Just wondering what is the "Legal" way of obtaining large amounts of pot to sell as a business.

Any pot club owners from Oakland or SF wanna shed some light on this. Is the pot club business still basically illegal? And it's just tolerated?
