that is one bad ass fluoro tube...
It would veg; maybe, 5 plants...very well....for 3 or 4 weeks
flowering time comes?...you would need 5 or 6 of them...for 2-3 females...IMO.

5 or 6 of these lights for 2-3 females? Thats alot of light!
I searched through the replacement lights they have,
Would this light be enough to flower 2-3 females alone?

a 250 watt HPS bulb requires a 250 watt HPS ballast
50,000 lumens = 400 watt HPS bulb ...which requires 400 watt HPS ballast

So can I buy just this and be good to go? or is there anything I am missing that I will need to buy?
If so 45$ for 50k lumens at 2000k kelven is Cheap yea? or does someone know of anything cheaper for the same lumens?

It would work. You still probably need a reflector?..cords?...base?...unless you are gonna grow vertical?
I recommend a complete system with reflector hood, bulb, UL rated magnetic ballast, base and cords. Just plug in it....and grow.
I'm not keen on DIY shit...electricity kills.

Well I was going to buy them anyways, But on that ballast, I clicked on it and read the fine print , "WARNING: Wiring and installation procedures are very complicated and should be attempted by a licensed electrician only. Ballast installation poses serious risks of electric shock which can lead to injury or death."
LOL Screw that, I don't know how to set it up anyways. Back to sqaure 1.

I picked up one of these initially,... it works,... but the bulbs that come with it are kinda Chitty. And the heat generation was immense! I had a 6" computer fan blowing over the bulb, and my 8" exhaust tube taped to the back side of the reflector behind the bulb to pull most of the heat out of the room.

Now I'm using this light for veging, EGL 120 TRI-BAND LED grow light | High quality hydroponic LED grow light product | Ecogroled (http://www.ecogroled.com/servlet/the-4/grow-light-lamp-led/Detail)
Given your area,... you could use the LED all the way thru for a single plant,.... or save a littel and get the 90w

Okay, I was going to get this
1600 lumens 150 watt hps light for 79$
150 Watt HPS Small Grow Light : Grow Light Supply (http://www.growlightsupply.com/150-watt-hps-small-grow-light-p-112.html)
But decided to go with 2 of these babys
10,050 lumens each, 100 watt each, 15$ each
Lights of America 100W CFL Replacement Bulb (92100B) (http://www.esplighting.com/92100b.html)
50 more watts but 4k more lumens and
Thats 20,100 lumens for 30$ instead of 16,000 lumens for 78$.
Not bad for my small 1 plant and small setup like in these pictures.
Smart choice or no?
