"Coming Out". Have you?

So, I am about 2 weeks from harvest and the whole house smells good. The problem with that is I have family and friends coming to my house to watch a local parade since it passes in front of my house. It has become tradition so everyone just kinda assumes that we're gathering at my house.

As a result, I told my family that I was growing my own medicine because I only thought it fair that I let them know if they are at my house. Anyhow, long story short, I'm still the black sheep, but everyone is still coming. I didn't let anyone else know that I'm growing, but I did announce to all my friends that I am a MMJ patient. The response has been AWESOME! The vast majority 70%+ has been very supportive of me and let me know that they respect my frequent facebook posts about cannabis. A couple people have contacted me that I, as a lifelong smoker, didn't know smoked. This has been a very positive experience overall and I urge all of you that can to spread the word that cannabis is good!

I've tried with my parents, but it's a losing battle until legalization becomes a reality.

On a positive note, I have turned my sister into a believer. I made her space cake one day because she has had insomnia since high school and wouldn't you know it, she had the best sleep of her life.

Also I have helped a few of my friends who are fellow asthmatics with my space cake recipe or vaporizers.

Everyone is always surprised to find out how much I know about cannabis.. especially those who know how much I smoke. I love spewing off facts like a Webster when they know I'm high as a kite.. :jointsmile:

shit, i never hid anything from anyone. ive even got my outdoor stuff growing in plain view of the highway that runs in front of my house inside a 6ft barbed wire chain link enclosure. plants 8ft+. eveyone here watches out for my shit ( well most of them smoke, so when i cut and trim, i have trim parties and those who help ( the 215s of course) get a nice fat mini donkey dick bud to take home with them). even the sheriffs office knows they are there, have looked at them and said "WOW DUDE!...YOU GOT SOME MONSTERS!".even the counties MET (marijuana eradication team) has hovered aove my enclosure so close we could see the guy giving us the thumbs up...hows that for local support!

BUT on the same note, im completely legit too and they know it. they also know if they screw with me, im just the guy with enough clout to slap a lawsuit on them they wont forget EVER.

dont be ashamed of what you do and dont hide it ( if your legit). if someone dosnt like it, tell them to kiss your ass, family included. they will come around.

i'm a 21 year old stoner in california. my entire family knows i smoke, with the exception of my brother(11) and my grandparents(70's). nobody really cares, because they all did it before. its just sort of a wink and nod type of thing. as long as my brother doesnt start too early no one has a problem with it.

i think what i did was just let subtle things slip to my parents over time, and they assumed i smoked before i said anything about it. and then when i "came out" it was no big deal because everyone knew already. theyre still your family after all.
