Post Surgery Help Needed

What's up fellow stoners. I recently had 4 wisdom teeth extracted (5 days ago), I'm feeling pain but it's getting better. My question is, what's your opinion on me smoking a bowl? I understand that I shouldn't smoke due to the possibility of getting a dry socket, but I'm tired of waiting to smoke. I've been smoking recently by shotgunning bong hits through the nose, but that doesn't get you nearly as high as taking a normal bong rip.

I've been prescribed vicodin aswell, but last night I took 3 7.5 vicodins on an empty stomach (not much I can eat post surgery) and I got pretty sick. So that's my general question, should I smoke and if so what precautions should I take prior to smoking.
