As some may know, I live in a state that limits my plant count to a meek 6, and I don't care to bounce all that light off of the table top, So I'm indoor cropping tomato, lettuce, beans, peppers, and some other "Garden" vegies next to my MMJ.

The veg room is set up for MMJ growing, and now illuminated by a 120w LED, Temps hold between 79*f high and 74*f low with humidity of 40-50%

The problem is with my Peppers, specifically the Jalapeno and Serrano peppers, they appear to have some sort of fungus on the bottom of the leaves. My mild peppers, (Anaheim and Green Bell) have it too, tho not as bad, and my Habanero doesn't seem to have it at all! :wtf:

I haven't noticed anything unusual on any other plants in the room, (focusing on the MMJ) but if you've seen this, or have a clue what it is I'd appreciate the help correcting it and making sure it doesn't spread. I've treated with Serenade garden spray, but it's too early to tell if it helped,.... sure does stink tho!

Here's a few (Believe it or not, "Lights on") shots of an infected leaf. You may notice white-ish blotches on the top of the leaves in the background, that's where the Serenade formed drops instead of coating the leaves.

Bump,...

I've been reading up on peppers, and most of my strains like very alkaline soil, so i've raised their inbound PH to closer to 8.(habanero's want 9+! ) However in spite of that and the serenade treatment the fungus hasn't retreated, hasn't progressed or spread, but it hasn't retreated.

Anyone?:what:

BTTT,.... Still haven't found an answer,... still isn't spreading, not on the new growth of the peppers, not on any other plant in the room, but hasn't retreated either and now the effected leaves are starting to show signs of damage and death. I'll be cutting them off shortly I think.

BTTT again,... Can't attach pics,... but it's come back in force on my Serrano pepper,... I've since pulled all the peppers to the front window.

I hope it's unrelated,... but one of my MMJ plants has something similar happening now,....

It's in flower, about week 4. Symptoms are Slight yellowing around the veins of the leaves, and slight spotting,... (Looks almost like a might bite, but it's yellow, not white.)
Inspection of the bottom of the leaves reveals slight bumps on the leaves under the yellow dots on top. Under magnification it looks to be something swelling from within the leaf, and is NOT a bug (Unless bugs can make it look like they are wearing tricomes. )

What is your experience level? (first timer, novice, experienced...) Novice

22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? None

Your strain:
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?) Blueberry, Indica Dom (Also growing another that's not effected, and a Durban Poison, Sativa, that isn't effected.)

13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule. Fox Farm Recipe for Success

DOH! Need to edit that, and cant,... Correct answer is "Techiflora Recipe for Success" and Dosage is Full strength per chart. Feed, Water(w/molasses), Water.

Again,... the symptoms look almost identical to the pictures of the peppers above. Tho thankfully not as severe!

Given that I"m week 4 of flower, I'm not going to treat the plant with anything. Too much risk of residue being consumed by my patients. I have removed the afflicted leaves, and hope I can get an answer to what's going on before it becomes a more major problem.

Nuthin?

Cant say the grow is going well,... cant say it isn't.

Now if only I knew what I was dealing with! :detective1:

Old leaves are old news, as rarely do they 'heal'. Did you mention there is no rust on the new growth? If this is still the case, then perhaps your ph adjustment worked.

Or

Perhaps it's a variegated serrano plant...?

Back to the top on this one! :D

New pepper strain, SAME problem!!!!!! I'm growing Bolivian Rainbow peppers this time.

I'll try and get some pics of what's going on, but it looks the same, just denser.... and on some stems!?

I've also noticed this same condition on the peppers at the Hydro store,(several strains)

It doesn't seem to be harming the pepper plants,... nor does it seem to spread to other plants in my grow or the Hydro store's grow,.... but it just bugs the F out of me!!! WTF is this!?!? Why do my plants in the grow room have it, while the plants that are in the front window dont? (running several strains of pepper in the window)

Pic is NOT one of mine, just a stock pic ripped from the interwebs. I'll get some pics of mine tomorrow if any interest is shown in this thread. ;)

Recipe for Success is made by Techniflora. Fox Farms is a different company.

If using the Fox Farms, I'd go with the Weekly Feeding Schedule on their website, not the bottle directions. And keep in mind that usually the directions from one nutrient can't be used for another product.

Anyway...looks like the bronzing is from overfertilizing, to me.
But my peppers have failed for the past two years, with the exception of my bell peppers that they didn't even touch. (rabbits and grasshoppers)

Yeah, I corrected that misstype earlier in the thread, and the MMJ gets the nutes, peppers are not getting additional feeding at the moment, just potted in Fox Farm Ocean Forest.

Water is tap, PH around 8 (MMJ gets adjusted to 6.0-6.2)
