Been inactive for a bit, been working on a little project. She's ready now so it's time to unveil the new plant hospital/nursery.

I would HIGHLY recommend building yourself an area for stressed-out plants/Quarantine zone.

Inside, we've got a DIY carbon filter hooked up to a 4" inline centrifugal fan and venting out through the bottom. Another intake hole is next to the exhaust port, I've already run a smoke test to ensure the intake receives little if any of the exhaust. In the upper left corner, I have all of the electrical required. A mains outlet which holds a timer and power strip for the lights and an always-on higher-draw power strip for the fan and any air pumps. I have a potentiometer to control the 4" fan speed.

For actual lighting, I'm using a 90w EGL-90 UFO, and three 28W T5 lights for doing visual inspections only. Of course, everything is lined with mylar.

For now, just some stressed-out balcony plants are in here recovering from the heat wave we just had.

Hasn't even been that long and I've already upgraded it.

Now I just need to get the timer set.

very cool picture. There is nothing more high tech / scify looking then led's and floro's across Mylar film.

A plant hospital huh??? Seems like a good idea if you got the extra equipment.

I know! I only turn on the T5s when I need to see, otherwise it's pure LED.
