I have two T5 HO lights. They are 2' in length. 24 Watts; 2000 Initial Lumens;6400k-Full Daylight Spectrum. Also rated 20,000 hours of life.
Well my Q's is is this good enough for a Mother plant and seedlings & clones? I am going to put both in a stealth type of cabinet. ?? Any Feed back would b appreciated. Thanx Fellow Weed Lovers

I have heard that floros will do just fine for veging and keeping mothers. It just might take longer for it to grow new shoots for cloning.
I too am interested in the T5s for my closet.

No single light can do all of those things, as flowering plants need a different light cycle than clones, and for the most part seedlings. You can start seeds in a flowering environment, but most experts would recommend a vegetative state for at least a few weeks.
Theoretically it is possible to clone a flowering plant probably best in the early stages of flowering, but the grow area would need to bee cool temperatures, you would need a little less light, perhaps under the canopy of other plants, and quite frankly it's just not going to happen even for an expert.

what are you talking about? he asked about using a t-5 for moms/clones. did i miss the part about flower?

the only reason to put a clone in veg is to let it get a good, solid root structure before flowering. you can clone a flowering plant no problem, not just theoretically. yes, the earlier in flower the easier, but it can happen just fine late if flower, it just might take longer to root.

How big do you want the mother plant, and how many clones and seeds are you planning on, because 2000 lumens sounds way too little light.

I would buy 3 40watt CFL's that put out 2000 some lumens each for around $25

Well I have two bulbs @ 2000 lums. So that would put me at 4000.
I am building a stealth grow box and it's about 2' by 3' 1'1/2 deep. Is that possible to keep a mother plant within 2 1/2 feet tall? How can I keep her from getting any bigger?? I'm only planning on a couple clones at a time. ganna start my mom from seed. N E buddy got :twocents: that they can put in?? Thanx :detective1:

if you veg a plant, you can take cuttings before you flower her out, let that clone veg, then taking cuttings before you flower the clone, repeat. this way you don't have to keep a mother plant. sometimes it can be a pain in the ass. you still have to take cuttings off of her on a regular basis. and they can get finicky too.

are you planning on vegging and flowering in the same stealth box?

Cool Thanx Shake n Big !! I've got a whole closet with inline, air cooled hood. Reflective on walls. That is my flowering room. Can fit 6 3 gallon containers in there. Got 6 going now. So I am building a box for my clone's & mums. This is my first attempt at muming and cloning. So wish me good luck. lol Well I seriously appreciate all the feedback .
