i have a plant, its a little older than 2 months right now, about 2 feet 4 inchs high, it was growin outside till now its inside but still using sunlight but not getting enough, is it a bad idea to put it under lights now?

No. She will acclimate, but it depends a lot on the kind of lights you're talking about. Keep her on a steady schedule. (use a timer)

She'd stress more by being forced to chase inadequate sunlight.
