Hi, well I live in a very hot area, where temps can be around 28-40°C (82-104°F), and I think thats a bit of the problem. I planted my seedlings in a black pot and when I came back home I noticed my plants were facing down, like in a sick way and then I saw this little black dots on the back of the leaves and Im not sure if they are bugs or what?, also I read that if I put some banana peel around my plant that would help to gain more potasium but I got rid of them because the top of the soil was turning whitish. anyone? HELP
Also I noticed that one of them has begun to change its color into purple, mainle the stem

hey man relax. Looks like your seedlings are VERY young. You don't need to worry about nutrients/fertilizers until your true leaves start showing (the 5+ point leaves). As for the banana peels, scrap them! Sounds like you're just growing fungus on the surface (not all fungus is bad) and it could overtake and even KILL seedlings!

Bending can also be a sign of over-watering/bad drainage. Don't love them too much. Slow down and read a few posts on germinating seeds. I just germed a whole bunch and have learned a lot along the way. Happy growing

Hydrofarm T5 Jump Start Light system. Grow them under that until strong enough to move elsewhere.

I think it's hilarious this guy comes to Americans to learn how to grow pot in Mexico. More pot grown in Mexico then anywhere else in the world.

At any rate: Your plants don't need a lot of light at this point. They would be better off inside. Let them grow roots, maybe produce a few sets of leaves that sort of thing, before they need to go outdoor.

Dig the plants back up and put them into small plastic cups. Lots of videos about what I am talking about but all you need to do is take a few plastic cups, drill holes into the bottom and fill with a good soil. If you have a garden center then great go buy some good potting soil. While your there also buy some vermiculite or perlite. Either one of those will work, same thing I think and mix mix it into the potting soil at about 50/50 ratio. Fill the cup, insert 1 plant and give it a little water. 1 plant, 1 cup. Water those cups after the soil sort peeling back away from the cup. Not overly dry, but you do want them to dry out a little which will encourage root growth. Roots don't grow in wet soil, no need too for as long as it continues to be wet. Find a spot in your house that gets indirect sunlight for a better part of the day and your good to go. If you really want too, you can stick them outside for an hour or so and let them get a little sun, but seriously they don't need sunlight at this stage. After a couple weeks you should see a much larger plant and lots of roots sticking out the bottom of your cup. When your ready, go outside and dig a nice fat hole in the ground. Fill the hole with an inch or so of rock at the bottom or some other material that will allow for drainage. Fill the rest of the hole with the same mix as your cup, 50/50 soil and vermiculite and then plant your seedling. Before you even think about putting it into the ground it aught to be several inches high with several sets of leaves. I would dig a 5 gallon hole (12"x24"). With a proper fertilized soil and that stuff I mentioned, you could probably water every other day and likely not need to worry about feeding them at least for this first grow. You will learn more as you go along. This aught to get you started though and tailored for hot climates. Have fun amigo

no offense meant in my post. I understand where you coming from. I have been there and believe it or not I suck at growing too. I just happened to know what your issues were since I live in a hot climate too.

For the record, most of the posters on these forums do not live in a country where growing is legal. Not a single American is allowed to grow or smoke and not be breaking at least one law whether it's state or federal. With that in mind, none of us are all that interested in getting caught. However, I think what you will find here is a group of people who are tired of hiding in the shadows or running from the authorities. In fact, just yesterday I watched a residential raid right across the street. Talk about pissing your pants, not knowing if they are coming for me or somebody else. I'm not sure what gave you the idea we are carefree law breakers here because I can assure you most of us wanting nothing to do with the police.

My advice still holds true. Bring them back inside, put them into better soil with a water holding substance mixed in (vermiculite/perlite), and give them less light until they get bigger. Once they are bigger they will be most capable of tolerating the heat in your area. Also, my advice about how to put them into the ground still holds true. Since you will have large amounts of sun and heat plus your concerned about the policia, try finding a location where they will be covered by other trees for part of the day. Your plants wont need direct sunlight all day long. Think about a way that ensures your plants gets partial light at different points on the plant at different times of the day. As the sun moves around, watch the shadows on your property and see if there are area that aren't totally covered but yet will shade your plant at different times throughout the day.

You mean growing plants in Mexico is illegal? I tought it was mandatory!! ..... Sorry, that was just an American wise crack.

Seriously, bienvenidos! Marijuana, as we all know, is a Spanish word we got from our friends in Mexico. It means, and please correct me if I'm wrong, "crazy plant". Another funny thing is the song "la cucaracha" song is about a cockroach that had no marijuana so he could not travel and died... I Digress, again welcome. May I compliment you on your english, it's very good and better than many Americans can write! Be careful and enjoy!

Yes, Solo cups would be good. One per plant only.

None taken!, it was just like if you meant I could just ask anyone, pot here is soooo cheap that nobody cares about grwoing their own, still its SHIT I mean its grass it comes along with seeds and stuff like that, I planted couple of those! hahaha, and yeah I understand its illegal for you guys to grow also but my dilema here is taht I cant use my credit card, I mean I wouldnt like too because of the police messing around and stuff, so cash only...
I moved my plants in those tiny transparent SOLO cups and bought the best soil I could find in the Home Depot, costed me around 15USDlls hope its a good one
I couldnt find any perlite though, they had a 10kilo bag! maybe I'll steal some from the LAB hahahaha,

about that song of la cucaracha, its hilarious I know but its so old and so tipical that nobody knows what happens if its doped or hurt! I believe it was doped! hahahah

bueno mis amigos MUCHAS GRACIAS and COME TO MEXICO!

Hey, sorry i lost contact, I just had midterms exams,
So my plants didnt die... GREAT!
But still, I dont know why one of them is growing at a much faster ratio than the other one, it has been like 3 or 4 weeks since I germinated 'em and I dont knwo for real if they are at the vegetative stage or at the seedling stage, here are some pics I took em just seconds ago.
