How much to expect from a Pyrex cooltube?

I have a closet that is approximately 3 x 3 where I am running a 250 hps. It is hot as hell in there--approaching 90 some days despite all the ventilation I can muster up as well as leaving the door open when I can. The plants have not suffered much because I can usually leave the door open with a fan blowing on them, but this is obviously not discreet and I am wasting lisght with the door open.

I want to make a Pyrex Bake-A-Round cooltube to concentrate the heat through my exhaust ducting/fan thingy, and I am wondering how much cooling off to expect from it. Like 10 degrees, or 2 degrees?

Also, how about one of these? Sun Systems - - Sun Shield- Cool Sun XL 8" (http://www.hidhut.com/catalog/sun-shield-cool-sun-xl-p-1433.html) How much relief do you think that might give my girls?

Depends on a lot of factors. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are exhausting the air into the same room where the intake is, you can use all the fans you want and still not get significant temp drops. But a cooltube is definitely worth it from my experience :twocents:

Also, they don't seem to be suffering so much from the heat really. I just need to be able to close the door all the time to be more discreet...
