hi folks, I'm doing my first grow of 1 plant in a pc case. it's just a regular sized pc case not one of the large tall ones I saw on YouTube. ive wraped it in mylar from top to bottom with 2 fans for intake and exhaust ventilattion. the question is would 1 29 watt cfl (150 watt equal) be enough for one plant in a small grow space? my seedling is now 5 days old and its been doing fine so far right underneath the 29 watt cfl. I plan on doing a LST on it since I really don't have much height. any help would be great thanks.

You need to get more light. The plant will grow but it will not produce much bud. I think you would be lucky to get 14g's off it.

thanks for the reply jay. I need 1 bulb to get the job done. I'm trying to keep it CFL. any idea on what 1 CFL bulb would take care of my one plant?

GE makes a 55w(equivalent of 200). Mine is Soft White(2700k), 3860 lumens. I'm currently using 3 of them along with 4 32w 4' tubes @ 2600k in a closet. I hope that light works for you. I bought mine @ Walmart for about $12. I hear you can generally expect 1/2g per watt. Not sure if it's correct.? Good Luck!:smokin:

right on budlover13. I'm only using one light socket (took it off a old lamp) so I suppose I'll buy a 55w CFL at Wally World and see how it does for me :)

You might look and see if they have a warm white that is higher on the Kelvin scale. 6000k or higher for veg and 2700k for flower.

Check out this quick search. Kinda puzzles me. They call them warm white, but the Kelvin rating is only 2700. I used 6 Lights of America Gro lights for veg, 17w ea. @ 7800K. Got those @ Walmart too for $10.83+tx/ea. I was afraid that 7800k was too high, but they worked awesome! :smokin:

Not a problem. I'm far from a pro, but I'm more than happy to share what I do know. :)

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a Y adapter for lights. You can find them in the electrical Isle with all the connections and plugs. You can hang 2 lights off one fixture or if you have room by 3 Y adapters and you can have 4 bulbs on one fixture. By doing this i have accumilated over 400 watts of actual wattage of CFL's with a minimum of sockets used.

Here is a pic of the one in my veg cab.
