I am getting ready to start feeding. I am going to use Fox Farm trio for starters and I have a question about Ph.
When I add the nutes to the water, does it have an impact on the Ph and should I try and take that into consideration when correcting the Ph in the water prior to adding nutes??
Or can you correct the Ph after the nutes have been added to the water?
thanks

Nutrients definitely have an impact on pH. You will want to add all nutrients and additives to your water before you attempt to correct the pH.
Also, with Fox Farm trio, it's a wonderful product that I've used with great results. However, one word of warning, the nutrient schedule chart they give you will burn your cannabis plants plants if you follow it exactly. You will want to follow the schedule at quarter or half strength to start, and then if you dare you can slowly up the amount and see if your plant can handle it. Good luck!

That's interesting, as I am just starting my first grow, 4 days into veg. And I am using the FoxFarm soil nutes, or will be. So far I have given them just one feeding of BigBloom @ 6 tsp/gal. So I should have halved that huh? I also have Age Old Kelp and FloraBlend as supplements and for foliar feeding. Just two plants to start with, an Alaskan ThunderF**K and a New York Diesel/skunk. LST on both plants at the moment to try and stimulate more tops.

I adjust my 7.9 ph wellwater down to 6.9ish, then add the nutrients. Brings me down to about 6.5ish. But I feed twice weekly, at half the online dosage, (ends-up being the same weekly totals) so a full-dose of nutrients will bring the ph down a little further. With those color-coded ph test kits...after you add the nutrients, the color-coded results are skewed by the tinting of the nutrients. (extremely inacurate)
I've been using the FF line for years. Yes...half-strength at first and sneak-up on a maximum dosage. But for normal dosing, with sativa dominates, (which generally requires less nutrients) give a tad less than indicated strength or leaves can burn. For hearty indica domiates, follow their online weekly feeding schedule. (available at the Fox Farms website) Print it out for your convienence.
Until you get good at their trio and their schedule, I wouldn't use the soluables. They are powerful stuff, and can easily be misused.
