Hello ALL!! It's been some time since I was on this site, but I will try to log in more often from here on out. I'm orginally from Central Fla, but I've been in ATL for about 4 yrs now. I've actually met about a dozen cool ppl from this site, so I thought I would come back and see who's out there now. About me...I'm 30 yrs old and work as an IT admininstrator. I have a passion for good bud, but not a weed snob. I'll burn up some good regs, mids or kinds, though obviously I would much perfer the later. I know of one case where someone reported a couple of teens going into the woods by I-75 everyday. So HCPD stake out the spot for two weeks and busted two teenagers for growing a few plants. It wasn't anything more than for personal use. Was not a big for profit grow.

They have multiple K-9's and because of the interstate their drug task force budget it big.

Everyone I know from every walk of life smokes or has no problem with it so looks like it is just the gray hairs on capitol hill that are keeping it from us. After all Georgia has heavy tobacco and alcohol ties. but we shall overcome :thumbsup::rastasmoke:

Just to comment on this... there is not ONE SINGLE strain that is man-made. Man may have intervened a little by crossing strains, but the magic in a seed of every plant can only be attributed to the unknown. So tell your buzz-kill friend to re-analyze that statement. lol

Well I haven't heard from anyone new in a while so I'm here to say Hi again to everyone in the Atlanta area! If you don't feel like reading this entire thread, as it's getting kinda long...I'm from the Norcross area and always looking to welcome new ppl to the area who don't know anyone. I've been here for about 4 1/2 yrs now, from FLA, and it took me forever to find some good ppl that are legit and down with the sickness! lol Anyway, hate to see anyone go thru all that and to have to always hide the fact that you happen to blaze up. I hope you're aware of the economic state, taxes and crime rates for the area before you move. If you're talking about moving into the Macon area, do NOT buy a house - RENT! Georgia is the third poorest state in the nation, and pays accordingly.

I moved (back) to this hell-hole when Katrina made me leave New Orleans. I grew up here and 'thought' it'd be a great place to come back to. -- WRONG. I made the mistake of buying before I did my homework. I have had to obtain a concealed carry permit, and never leave home without being armed. And yes, I have had to use it once to avoid an armed robbery while sitting in my car at a WAFFLE HOUSE (of all places!). Who goes to the WH with any money (to speak of) in their pocket? Who could possibly go there carrying enough money for someone to risk their life trying to take it?

My property taxes increased 20% this year and they've got the absolute screwiest method of determining taxes I've ever seen. While property values dropped everywhere my property assessment went up by 15%. The "homeowner exemption" went away, the HTRP disappeared - the bottom line is my property tax went from +/- $300 a year to +/- $700 a year. The tax system is something like, "First we access, then we determine how much we want to get, and lastly we determine the millage rate to get that much." HUH????

And did I mention that possession of ANY amount of cannabis is still considered a major crime? SWAT team action for the simple act of sitting in your living room, watching TV, burning a doobie. Jeez....

Rent before you by my friend. Take a year to determine if you want to stay around here or not before you make it a permanent choice.

If you're coming to Macon (or nearby) I'd be glad to take the time to meet'cha. Being disabled, I'm not out running the streets much, so I'm pretty easy to find.

coming from ohio ANYTHING is better than up here! I am just renting an apartment and will be just outside the loop (so I am told...it will still take me awhile to figure out the terminology). The area I am going to be in is supposed to be nice (again so I am told). I will actually be working in the buckhead area, but that is too expensive for me to try to live there. From what I hear and read, I was under the impression that the police had better things to worry about than enjoying in the privacy of your own home? That is sad to hear...now I am not as excited haha.

My daughter lives on the west coast. Obviously, I live in Ga. She's of the "social" generation. I'm an ex-hippie with a cynical view of the govt. We had to come to an understanding. I bought her a digital camera cause I wanted pictures of her. She come back with "Well, I put them on Facebomb." Now she understands I want her to send them to me in high resolution via email and won't go to a social networking site to see them at 300x150 in 72 dpi. Instead, I'll call her on her cell and ride her ass till she sends it to me.

Welcome to Atl, glad to hear you made it. I'm sure you will find more to do than Ohio (only guessing, never actually been up there) but Atlanta has strategically killed most of the nightlife since I moved here in 06. Mostly just cool it with friends and catch flight. Im in Norcross if you wanna meet up.
