I started a lemon sour diesel clone under 2 90 watt l.e.d lights on August 10th. When I first got the clone it was 4 and a quarter inches tall, measured it this morning (august 15th) and it is now 6 and 3 8's inches tall. It seems to be thriving under the 2 90 watt l.e.d's which im glad as I know peoples opinions differ on the subject of these lights.Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting (http://tinypic.com/r/34odobo/4) :hippy: Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting (http://tinypic.com/r/binna0/4)
:pimp: let me know what you think. any suggestions, anything.

They grow slow, but still grow. Put the lights 2-4 inches away from your plant tops.

thanks for the advice. I was also wondering what I can expect to crop, I know it varies, from what I've heard people say 2 - 3 ounces, is this right?

Yield depends on what variables such as nutes, lumens, growing medium and pots, you grow under...... some seed sellers give a yield expected. Good Luck. Read the growing section of the forum and let 'er rip!! :smokin:

led is fine for veg. terrible for flower. too expensive for both.

by saying too expensive im taking it as the cost to buy the lights. i got a good deal 2-90 watt led lights for 285 with shipping, and they have a 10 year warranty. I guess that's kind of expensive, but you save money on your power consumption every month, and my plant seems to be going very well so far. but we will see.

I think you could have bought a 400w switchable, run it 6 on 6 off during veg (200 watt 24 hour average), using the same exact power as your LED running 24/7 but with better results. Then when it came time to flower, run 12/12 and be able to yield 8-16 ounces.
With 190 watts of LED youll have a longer veg time, and your yield probably won't be able to exceed 4 ounces. Depending on the diodes that unit uses it may be as low as 2 ounces.
The 400watt HID probably would have been less money too if you shopped around. You can get a complete 1K HPS system for under $400.
So that's why I said what I said.

4 ounces would be a decent yield on a single plant. I will be getting more clones in a weeks time, some sort of blueberry that looks good, and a white widow hopefully.

2 to 3 ounces for a 2 to 3 foot plant is normal. No one is getting a pund of an indoor plant. Be careful of a lot of the supposed experts out there. Haven't used led's yet but have used T5's and they work almost as good as hps.
There is some misinformation out there about led's and its manily to do with heat. They still generate a lot of heat so be sure and have good ventilation. Good Luck

havent noticed any excessive heat, we have a weather station that we bought just for this purpose and it displays the humidity and temperature, we keep the temperature between 74 - 76 degrees. Also, got a new clone under the led's today, a jack frost plant. anyone tried jack frost?:hippy:

Two to three OZ's off a two to three foot plants streachin it a bit wouldn't you say?
If your new to growing and happen to pull off a good grow be VERY happy with an OZ per plant bro!!!
Hopefully you have a HPS ballast and bulb for flower???? You can start with a cheap 45 dollar street HPS and progress from there!
If not ya need to start thinking about acquiring one soon!!!!

You'll love Jack Frost man...
She's killer sparkly but don't expect much of a yield. High quality bud with average to below average yields!!!!
One of the most beautiful plants I've EVER ran!!!
Congradulations bro. Post up a few shots of her if you can, DC...

Yes nothing wrong with an ounce of cured and dried bud off your first grow. The whole idea is to build experience from it and try and change one thing each grow to get production. A common mistake is to change a couple things and then have the grow go south and not know what change hurt the crop.

My lemon sour diesel plant will be 6 weeks old tomorrow (september 21st) It is currently 18 and 1/8th inches tall and 25 and a 1/2 inches wide. We are also going to be taking 5 clones off the beautiful girl today.. All 5 clones are being taken below the V, which im told these branches will die if i just leave them there so i will just use them for clones... Also, I have a question, Ive had this plant under 18 hours on 6 off for 6 weeks now, when should I change the time to 12 on 12 off? Would appreciate any help you all can give. :pimp: one more question... any way i can get this plant to be taller??? Had someone tell me to move my led's up and the plant will grow towards it.. :stoned:

You can start 12/12 any time you want. They'll usually grow another 1/3 of plant height in flower.
Yes moving the lights away will make the plant stretch more, usually you don't want to do that.

If you are using containers, its customary to transplant up to the final pot size around 1-2 weeks before flower. I like to get them into their final pot and wait for that explosion of rapid growth before flowering. Normally this is a few days after transplant, and then a few more days and I put them in.
So if I were you, I'd prolly take clones, pot them up, and in a week flower them.
Now is also a good time to stake out your colas. Basically look for main branches and tie them up either to a stake, the plants main stalk, or even the side of the pot if you need them to come down. I try to not place more than 1 main cola (branch made up of nodes that will become bud sites) every 6 inches to prevent crowding. Then my goal is to normally space them as evenly as possible, hopefully so direct light reaches near the bottom where the bud sites will be starting.
Staking the plant before flower can be a nice way to visualize how your canopy will be filling in, and you can be sure you're making efficient use of your space.
I'd still recommend you go get a 400w HPS though for flowering. I bet you could even get a used one for under $300, everything you need.

Using tomato cages work pretty good too and they're reusable.

Thanks for the info justpics, but im trying to see what just l.e.d lights will do with the plants.. most likely i will be getting 2 300 watt led panels to add to the 2 90 watt ufo led's i currently have.. from the videos ive seen online kind of disproves the argument that you get "loose" buds, from what ive seen the buds were tight and fat. anyways, she is 6 weeks old today, probably let her go another month or so at 18 on and 6 off than switch to 12 on 12 off.

Went to the local hydroponics shop the other day to get some nutes for the veg stage, got some fox farms grow big.. any opinions on fox farms products? I will hit my new clones (when i get them) first with the grow big (during veg) than with big bud during flower.

I've used a lot of their stuff and give it a Grade of A+.

Would it be too much to use big bud every other watering during flower, and also bud candy every other watering... alternating of course. like big bud first watering, next watering with bud candy, etc.

It depends on what you are growing in. And Fox Farm says at least once a week now. I used it every third day or twice a week in soil. Worked good until where they got before bud mold hit them, but they are still going the last mile for the last nugs.
