Hi, i was just wondering if you could use rockwool cubes without a NFT system, so basically just use them like you would a plant in a pot of soil?

if so, what would i need for this method, cause i am running low on my budget.
CHEERS to every 1 that is helping the new foundation of growers. :)

The problem you will have, is containing the roots, you could use this method, but will have to get a rockwool cube big enogh to support a full grown plant, also you need to ensure that the roots remain in total darkness, ensure you use a full hydroponic feed, and remember that you will have to monitor the moisture level closely, as they they will dry out quicker than soil, but apart from that there is no reason why it wont work, good luck and keep us posted.

First, theres an hydroponic forum.

Second: as fatbud said, u need nutrients to feed your roots. if your a begginer, u should just think about growing in soil. much less complicated and expensive. cheers
