http://www.stinkbuddies.com/pdfs/aerocloner.pdf That is the link to the cloner I plan on building and using. Question I have is should I run just the clone in a collarand then trans into Rapid Rooter or should I just use netpots with RR sitting in it??

Tiny...
You can use the "hockey pucks" that most people use and then transfer to net pots of any size (I use 4") once rooted, or you can use the very small net pots, I think they're 2" instead of the hockey pucks, with hydroton if you like.
These netpots fit right into the holes about half way in.

We have one very similar. 49 sites and 25 jet nozzles. Seems to work best when we use the 2 inch netpots and the neoprene collar. The netpots helps so the sprayer don't knock off small root bumps starting. We also did a run with 2 inch netpot with a root riot in them and clonex. Sometimes you get a few drops of water splashing out around the rootriot but no big deal. I thought they stayed too wet but they did good.

If you just use the netpot and collar you can add some nutes once you have roots and keep them for a week or so more.

No just an empty netpot and a collar with cutting hanging. The little netpot keeps the water from knocking the root bumps off so easy. We have to watch them and not let the roots get too long or you damage a few pulling them out to put in tron. Now that we're going DWC and less plants We have way to many clones. I think I'm seeing better meds from the bigger more mature plants.

Greetings to all,
If one is using hydroton and cloning is in the program, why not use the
Rapid Rooters, in hydroton, as a launching site... If it is a leaf,
( that's been properly prepared / dipped ) you are using as a clone, then spread the Rapid Rooter out ( cut it, open it up ) to accommodate that leaf and the new roots, will be fine yes ! ?

Keepin simple,

from what I have read and from previous conversations it can be done either way. Root clone then carefully put in RR or just straight into the Tron.

Last question, I hope, the cloner is made and about to put in use but do I use a dome with this type of cloner or not?? I see some do and some dont.

I don't use a dome because of the wilt factor if it gets too hot. Been there done that and it ain't fun. But it gets hot out of control around here and an hour or so with out electric will ruin my day or I should say a clones day. Larger plants can handle it.

I forgot the humidity here is so high you can wash your car without a water hose. In places with no humidity I think I might need one.

This time of year our side of the country is always humid, bad enough this year there was a couple of times I almost went outside with a towel and soap to conserve water.:wtf:

I almost did the towel and soap thing but when I went outside to check I saw a Big ass mosquito standing flat footed and fucking a chicken. I didn't want to be next and I hear it's best to let them finish.

Well we put the cloner to use with 7 clones. Needed 4 to grow and never used this before so extra's are done to be safe. It was either the 6th or 7th day and I had roots coming off the stems. Day 10 I took some rapid rooters, slit them on the side and carefully split it open so I could lay the clone inside and close up again. Now have roots from all but 1 and next step is to put them in small 4" pots with Tron to get them going a lil bit more before they find the buckets. These are going to be DWC in my tent and trying to give them more of a start than they ever had before. Basically trying to eliminate hand watering in the tent as I am really tired of working on my knees to get roots down to the water. Not bad for first run, 1 out of 7 had no root development at all. Next run will be 23 to try and get 18 for the basement. post pics later.
