is it possible to keep a plant in a 4x4 rw block after u transfer it from a 1x1 until you plan to flower it? i mean it would be on a drip system in a large grow tray.

why not ? Many ebb and flow tables use 4 or 6 inch cubes for the whole life. Some roots may come out of the bottom but no worries.
