I've read that when the equinox occurs the plant flowers, and you need to switch fertilizer. Should I wait until September 22nd, or should I switch earlier?

I, for one, have already started to flowering and have switched over. :D

As soon as they flower (show white hairs) you should switch. Conditions are different everywhere and every year and some strains flower earlier than others. Right now I have three different srains; one is in full bloom and two are bigger but not blooming yet (as of Aug 10th in Oregon).
I fertilize at half strenght every time I water and I water every three days - I have 20 gallon pots with good drainage. Using fish fetilizer which is very mild at that dose.

Thanks for the replies....I'm new at this. I'll keep my eyes open for white hairs. I suppose they'll form between (or on) new leaves?

UPDATE

I checked and sure-enough there are white hairs all over the place.

Thanks gentlemen!
