I woke up this morning with several e mails in my box from various mmj community groups. In the e mail it stated that the denver city council had meet yesterday to discuss a new plant limit in the city of denver. If the new law passes it will limit growers to a 12 plant limit and these plants can only be used by the person growing the MMJ. This is very bad for the patients that have a caregiver that growers there meds. in the city of denver. If this passes it will once again show that the state and city does not care about patients and there right to have another person grow there MMJ. Most people that have cards that really need them are either to sick to grow or they do not have the skill to grow the top notch mmj that is needed to ease there ailments. Bill sponsor JEANNE ROB believes the city must address the growing of MMJ in neighborhoods. She has received complaints from constituents about nearby houses growing multiple mmj plants, and believes the city should limit the growing of MMj in neighborhoods AS MUCH AS CONSTITUTIONALLY POSSIBLE. But MMJ activists claim the bill CB-607 violates Adm. 20 and would put many patients at risk of loosing there medicine!!!!!! The governing in this state have shown once again that they do not care about patients rights and they continue to trample the CONSTITUTION every chance they get. There is one thing that the opposing side has forgotten about and that is AMERICA was founded on freedom and this is the type of government control that our founding fathers warned us about. Most people in this country have forgotten that freedom comes with a price, and that price is being tolerant to differing views and accepting that not everyone looks at things the way you do. It is a very simple thing but we in america have lost our way. Most have no issue with laws when the laws protect what they believe in, but the second a law protects something that they are against ,freedom goes out the window even if the law will not even effect them. This is what is happening in america right now. The people in power are picking and choosing when to follow the constitution and we must demand that they respect the constitution or get the hell out of our way!!!! Our founding fathers would be a the front lines in the war against MMJ because it is our right to use and grow a plant that GOD all mighty created for the people of the world to use. If things stay the same in regards to the city council bill CB-607, the council will have enough votes to pass this bill and CAREGIVING IN DENVER WILL BE OVER!!! A lot of people in the mmj community did not think hb-1284 would pass and look what happened. IF the MMJ community in colorado dose not start taking these so called representatives seriously we are going to loose almost every right that was given to us by AMENDMENT 20. If every card holder in the state went out and voted we could change the face of the MMJ community. With the large number of MMJ patients we have the power to swing an election, but the politicians are counting on one thing, people that smoke marijuana are not going to take interest in state and local elections and so far they have been right, but we can change that. Once again this new bill will harm patients access to QUALITY MMJ and force most into the corperate style mega mmj centers so they can get crap weed that they do not even flush. Man, the future of quality MMJ is looking worse and worse as time goes by thanks to our wonderful state government. Once again these idiots are trying to limit MMJ growing in denver and they are going to do the total opposite. If this bill passes it will force caregivers that are growing for patients in the denver area to drop there patients. Now you will have thousands of people without a caregiver and guess what will happen? You will now have thousands of houses in the denver area growing there 12 plant limit, so instead of reducing grow ops they will be increasing them. IF YOU LIVE IN DENVER PLEASE CALL THE DENVER CITY COUNCIL AND TELL THEM TO VOTE NO ON CB-607, if enough of us raise hell we will at least have a chance. The bill will be voted on SEPTEMBER 20 so we have a little over a month to let our voices be heard. I am also talking to some of the key players in our community about trying to start a patients group that can meet on a regular basis to discuss all MMJ issues. If we band together they will take notice we must do so if we want to stand a chance with these animals. RISE UP!!!!!!!!:mad:
