Looking the nasty bugger in the eye.
Augh!!! That's one of those desert centipedes. They can get up to 8-10 inches here. They are HUGE. Needs to go die now...
My grandmother had one on her leg and it dug in and stung all the way down. She had two rows of dots on her leg for the rest of her life. I hate those damn things.

For me, I lost my unemployment. Had to shut down the internet. Unemployment was reinstated. I have a little money again. I got a deal for 9.99 a month so I went for it. I'm looking for a job every day. There must be 20-30 applicants for every job I've applied. It's scary.

It sucks. I haven't been able to find employment either. No issue on the pee test either since I haven't smoked in a month. I've never been so desperate for a job in all my life. It's really scary obviously and not being able to buy my scripts is becoming down right unbearable. I'm being tested harder than I have ever been and I am in the most vulnerable position I have ever been.
I wish you luck man.Hope the family is doing okay despite.

Dunno yer situation, 92. Jus' ramblin' and thinkin' out loud.
NM MMJ law allows sales between licensed patients from my reading of the L&E compassionate Act. If it were me, I'd be firing up a garden and looking for some folks in need. I know there's a lot involved in such an endeavor and I'm not tryin to minmize that fact, but if there was ever a time to "take the bull by the horns" that time is NOW. The need is out there without a doubt.
Folks in Colorado were slow to analyze the law and see the opportunities that existed. From 2000-2009 we were on a slow boat. In the last year that has changed. All the while our law was the same. It just took folks awhile to awaken and lose their paranoia about doing all of this "topside" when most deals had historically gona down behind the scenes. Unfortunately for Colorado, such openness has led to a "green rush" and now the law has changed and we can no longer >legally< sell to each other. That doesn't mean the practice will stop, it just means the parameters of the game have changed, for now.
It's wide open in NM for patients to help each other. Oddly, I see more people waiting on the producers to get their sh@t together than I do taking charge and making it happen for themselves and others.
best of luck
blackhash
I would love to help any paitent that needs it but i just did my first harvest and its good but it is not a good enough quality or enough for me to help others. When i do my next grow at it is a better grow i will defiantly help others.
Also Totah sam i am also one of the people that had my unemployment cut and am also one of the ones that didnt get it back. So we were already a very low income family ( last year we made $20,000) so with the loss of unemployment we have no money and things are stressfull so i completely understand where you are coming from.
I hope in time things will get better but i dont see it happening anytime soon.

I would give anything to work again. 10,000 in savings or a little over + 401k, don't go far over 8 years with three children. Hell we live on 1,200 a month now. No fed or state help what so ever, not even food. It has been Almost 2 years and Still fighting for my disaability. My wife works her ass off , even looking at loosing our home. I have two boys one girl. No more hope for them and No more future with their daddy but yet we move on without help from anyone. The human spirit is mind boggling behind the hummbled heart.
Totah --what do you do? I did industrial refrigeration after the service. Worked in, and loved the field for many many years until getting sick. I don't know where you are looking for work but I look in the paper every morning (Farmington) out of curiosity, and plenty o jobs in the four corners area. Labor, skilled labor, restaurant, everything you can think of. Hope all goes well.,
Hash!-- I like your ideas. Colorado is crashing down hard on you guys and NM is in the stone age when it comes to mmj. Truly What your talking about is more logical then what is going on now.. They changed alot in Colo but the people up there have banned together nicley it seems.
I will grow my own until I die or have someone help do it for me. I will not support any producers in any state as long as the price is the motivation nor will I support the cartels drug blood money by getting it off the streets. I believe most want to do good but there are also those whom just want an early retirment. There are humanitarians and then there are people like Herst and Dupont.
the "price"? for compassion is getting outa hand.
Grow your own and help if you can.

I would be more then happy to talk to anyone in the farmington, Aztec, Bloomfeild area about a patient coop thing or a local network for us in the North that have our ppl and cards. I am not familiar with the patient to patient thing but if that is possible:weedpoke: then Blackhash has hit this thing right on the head. There should be less talk of producers and more talk of people gathering together to help one another.
Must research this one. Peace

[quote=blackhash]NM law reads much the same as CO law on this topic, xsnoder. There is a post on the board (tried to find it) that defines what this "back door" wording/clause is called in legal terms, but in the end the Act states that you cannot be prosecuted for sales to other licensed patients as long as you are in compliance with all other aspects of the Act. (i,e. aren't growing a bunch of extra plants for sales)
I will definitly check it out further when I get home. Thank you for the info hash:thumbsup:

I assume you're growing outside. Without trying to sound too much like a tree hugger. Praying mantis along with spiders, some wasps and yes, even centipedes, are extremely beneficial predators She will eat many times her bodyweight in grasshoppers, leafhoppers, worms, (they eat aphids like popcorn) and all types nasties bent on decimating your crop. I know centipedes are mildly poisonous. She is just as eager to avoid you. Keep an eye out for her. Just give the plant a good shake before handling it. If you use pesticides, all bets are off. (allthough they seem to do OK with neem oil) I had 3 last year and the plants with the centipedes did better overall than the others.

you have some flawed info, the state does not allow any patient to sell or even donate medical cannabis. People should really read & UNDERSTAND the laws and requirements of the program, Persons from out of state seem to have difficulty understanding the whole NOT-FOR PROFIT, asspect of the program in NM, if you are making money selling medical cannabis, I question your methods and lawfulness. Most of the producers are TOTAL SCAMS, Southwest organic producers hasnt even held a board meeting, yet the alledged officers and employees are being paid, without any authorization for the compensation levels. This is FACT, I am a board member & I have filed formal complaints, although the truth is no one really cares. I am disgusted that SWOP utilized me to get licensed, I would resign, but there is no one that is actually authorized to act in any official capacity for SWOP, so there is no one to accept a resignation letter. So I guess I will wait for the first board meeting or until the AG investigates, what a shame that these guys are already corrupting the medical program. If anyone has purchased cannabis from SWOP, you are entitled to attend and even vote at the board meetings as the organization is a membersip organization, and by law all members are required to be notified of any board meeting or action of the board. SWOP has neglected their responsibilities regarding the requirments for notifying members of the conduct of the organization. If anyone is interested on seeking a lawful resolution to the issues at SWOP, I would be happy to speak with anyone seeking the truth about this organization. I will be checking this site often for replies, I hope other responsible board members and concerned program participants will be interested in nipping this issue in the bud, We are a self policing industry after all, if we do not clean this program up, we may lose it!!!

I just listened to your radio show john, I really enjoyed it,
although as long as we are talking about SWOP, on one your interviews you talk about SWOP delivering bud to patients, although SWOP was breaking the rules set forth by the DOH, by taking cannabis through Federal Checkpoints.
Its hard enough getting producers approved, then the producers already approved are breaking the law.
I can appreciate they are trying to deliver medicine to sick folks, but why make things harder for everyone else by not following the laws the state set forth!

Hi Deming np,
My understanding of the Regs here is that the DOH and the State can't protect you from the Federal checkpoint and you are at your own risk.
SWOP and others take that risk knowingly to get meds to people in that area.
Lets remember AG Holders statement that the Feds should not use resources on MMJ when someone is abiding by the their MMJ State's law.
My understanding is that no charges have been charged.
Glad you enjoy my shows. I want to get my weekly call in talk show going very soon so we all can discuss this and other MMJ concerns.

SWOP has been the only producer that i have been able to purchase medication from and the quality of the service and the medication was way better then then service i receive from calling the other producers. Everyone has thier own opinions and that is just what they are is an opinion. So maybe you had a bad experience that doesnt mean try to pull everyone down with you. If you dont like swop then guess what there are others to go through.
About the issue with swop getting stopped well wtf do you expect them to do? What if YOU were one of those patients that lived way down south and needed medication? Wouldn't you want someone to bring it to you rather then getting your sick ass in the car and drive a few hours into abq or santa fe to get your medication? I live in rio rancho and i am to sick to drive 20 min to get my medication. So a huge KUDOS for swop for delivering even if it means they get stopped at least they are making an effort to help everyone that needs it.
So whoever you are ( not even important enough for me to figure your name) shut the fuck up and find somewhere else to bitch and complain about your own stupidity because here we are about helping each other and giving support when needed.

FIRST OFF, I AM ONE OF THE PATIENTS that live in an area not currently served by any producers, its a two way street, as a patient it would be nice if one of the producers would break the law to bring me cannabis, but as I am a patient, I would like to see the program do well here, and having producers breaking the laws set forth by the DOH is not the way to go about things, IMHO.
I believe SWOP breaking the rules, is due to the lack of producers in the state, but if the current producers are breaking the law, I doubt the DOH will be rushing to approve more producers, so their actions may help temporarily help patients, but I feel like its doing more damage in the long haul, as the DOH will be less likely to approve new producers.
Also just my humble opinion.
