Random UA AT WORK- Split Specimen Vial??

I was randomed at work this week, and thankfully I was prepared as to carry synthentic urine with me everyday, the brand i used was Magnum. I followed all procedures, and the collector checked the box for the temp showing that I met the requirements, The collector than poured the specimen into 2 vials? Should I be worried, its going to labcorp.

No problem. Usually they just do a split sample for DOT type jobs. But its all tested the same.

i read so many threads about the QF and the success stories, but not much about randoms. And some of the threads about the invalid pass, my batch i purchased was 2 months old frm the store. I have recently purchased a new sample for future use. If worst comes to worst with this test and I need to retest should I sub? I have been drinking water all day saturday,will continue to do so today. Using Niacin and Q-Pretox, Multi-Vitamin and hitting the gym....

i used a sub sample that had been sitting in my car for 5 months in southern cali. Needless to say temps must have been off the chart. Even an old and uncared for sample works.

I've used it about 15 times for pre-employement and randoms and have never failed. You just need a plan and practice. You do want to keep the sample out of sunlight. Other than that it works great.

i had no problem subbing when they took me to there random room for employee's , i actually stalled with the collector since they called me immediatley when i started my shift, so i told the colletor i had just used the restroom. The collector allowed me to drink water in there presence and wait a bit with the collector in that holding room lol , while this gave me time to heat the sub between my crotch...


i also noticed allot of threads where users come on and post they used the sub method and never came back with a response, are mods deleting thread? or we just assumed they passed and they never decided to come back on to post their results

As long as the lab follows protocol and the patient keeps the sample at the right temp its undetectable. And it should always be used for insurance tests.

so nervewrecking , i have been waking up at 2am-3am and snoozing til 6am or so before getting ready for work.

i am just waiting for my manager to act all grimey, and call me into there office. I definately would like to know what my legal rights are.

since they cant test for uric acid or anything like that based on the threads i read, i should say well i didn't sign another consent form authorizing for such test's, who gave you permission to my dna profiling?

What can a lawyer do? which i probably cant afford one anyway lol :/

If its a non dot type job they can test for uric acid. QuickFix has a fix for that too. The only ones I've heard that are testing for uric acid is in Oregon.

Many tests will be done with a split specimen. They will make you void into the initial cup with a temperature strip, then they disburse the urine into the two vials for the lab. Some labs test the first vial and they store the second vial for further testing if necessary. This is needed when there is a dispute or if they spill or drop the first vial.
If the collector checked the box indicating that the temperature was in the correct range, you should be fine.

so today went smooth, i am not sure if some managers just had a bad temper in there tone of voice today because of their workload. If i make it through this week than I should conclude im in the clear. No MRO call yet so im still hoping im good. Test was last week, went through the weekend. So today is Day 2 of the longest week everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr


aslo my freind used magnum synthentic urine for his pre employement test last week and found out today he starts work, so it worked for him. I just need to make it through this week to know for sure im in the clear,even if they dont bring anything up to me


Question for synthentic urine, if this works for me. I plan on stocking up for more since I found out this particular manager loves to random people since that person replaced my old manager. Can i store the synthentic in freezer and have a life shelf of greater than 2 yrs? and than do my own home test to make sure its still reliable?

Just find a good place to buy from and pickup one or two bottles. They'll last 2 years as long as they are kept out of sunlight. Quickfixes website is probably the best bet for getting the canadian version with uric acid

i got a few store's that sell them , one sells Dr Green's the other store sells Magnum Synthentic Urine.

I have the Dr Greens that was purchased in feburary that was swapped out for Magnum in june which i used for the random, purchased another magnum to carry with me , the Dr Green's is still in the trunk of my car, i just dont want a bann on them in my southern state :P

as long as they sell it in the stores i will rotate a new batch every 6months :/

day 3 of this week, from last weeks random UA, no one has come up to me and said anything, i would assume if the results were in they already notified my employer already since so far no one has approached me yet. But if there was a problem Im sure i would of gotten fired on the spot?

Today at work i found it weird that someone "quit" especially since they been working for the company for a while, i assume that person was also randomed at worked and maybe the results were in and they approached that person and fired them on the spot or she knew she failed and quit after that happened? I am not sure.

i been taking my anxiety meds to burn this week... just cause i am a nervous wreck. lol but like everyone says no news is good news, and so far no one as far as upper management has been acting grimey to me.
