If you are set on the Albuquerque area,Rio Rancho is fine.
Personally,I wouldn't live within 35 miles of Albuquerque.....but that's just me.

Bernallillo is the most served for sure. Rio Rancho is not bad as it has grown immensely. Santa Fe is green friendly but living in the city limits is ridiculously expense. If I had the means I personally would like to live in a sparsely populated area of SFE county. It just for you depends on where you're coming from and what you are used to. Also if you have a significant other for assistance.
An example of Rio Rancho would be like Denver-Aurora, it's all one big area. Parts of Rio Rancho are newer and more peaceful but can be quite far from ABQ. A pain the rear drive too.

Honestly,yeah.....crime and gangs are no joke in the Albuquerque area.
I visit there,but don't stay long.
I would suggest at least looking into the southern area of NM,around Ruidoso/Alamogordo area.

Slayer is right about the punks in ABQ. I've lived in some major metro areas however I don't like going out at night in ABQ. The town in the grand scheme is small but the drugs are no joke. The young kids do things you wouldn't believe in search of nothing but attention it seems.

If you need a more city-like place,Las Cruces in the southwest part of NM might be more for you.Bonus there is that I think one of the new Producers is opening there and will probably deliver.
I know what you mean about florida,I used to live there for awhile also.

Dona Ana county( Las Cruces) is one of the counties receiving a new producer.
The place isn't bad to live in as long as you can put up with the people here that think the world revolves around the town. There are awesome homes here and nice ones as well.
As far as the police it is pretty simple. The city cops are very much a joke. The Sheriffs are much easier to deal with and more lenient. The state police are laid back and let it flow, except for DWI. If you have done something and the SP show up you are in trouble.
If you have the money you can get an awesome place here right now.I don't know how much home values have fallen nationwide but here you can get a million dollar house for 400-600k.

It depends on how well documented your qualifying condition is.
Once you find a NM doctor,PA,or NP,get the recommendation, and submit all paperwork,it usually takes from 20-30 days for card approval and 10-20 days after that to get your personal grow license,if you are applying for that also.

Or you can use your paperwork from out-of-state and get a recommendation from a NM doctor once he verifies the condition as valid. :)

So Calderon has admitted that he needs help, going so far as to mention the legalization of all drugs in Mexico. We all know who will still be in charge and filthy rich legal or not. The only way to take money away from the bastard cartels is to allow Americans to use homegrown Bud. Now is the time to make as many people as possible realize this. Brick as we all know would not have a market anymore overnight.
I read an article in Newsweek debunking this on the grounds of how if legalized in CA the price for an OZ would be $50 vs. $40 for brick. California will become the nation's source if November goes well.
Anyone who knows anyone that has any say don't stop pounding the facts into their skulls!

Hello fellow Growers and Partakers,
I just moved from Minnesota to Las Cruces, NM. Currently are setup for appointments to get the ball rolling for my card and permit. Just wanted to stop in and become a part of the las Cruces, NM Cannabis Crew. I am currently looking for someone to come by my place that knows wtf they are doing and give me some pointers on my plants. This is a first grow for me and I have ED's book but do not want to start the good seeds yet. I am currently using seeds that I have found over the years in my bags. Someone hit me up. I have no connections here. Thanks.

Thanks Alfonso2002. It is a little different down here. Especially seeing my plants that are outside grow like they are on steroids. Im in my 29th day and was surprised at how fast they are growing. Yeah not knowing anyone down here is good and bad at the same time. Good- Don't have to hide anything from anyone. Bad- I have been without for over a month. Guess thats a good thing though. Anyone out there that is in Las Cruces please hit me up.

You do realize that you just told everyone that you are growing illegally, right? No, I don't work for the DOH or law enforcement. Once you have your cards you will receive the contact information for the local producer and they will be able to help you. Stay safe (and legal).
