Hello All, I have a plant that was given to me and was so stressed by the time I got it (it was a clone that was in a cup for about 7 weeks) the roots were yellow to brown all over!

So i decided to throw her in some happy frog and put her out back, she gets daylight pretty much all day into night, this plant is just for fun! but still I've noticed a ton of what has been described to me as being water leaves (3 instead of 5) and single (1) leave:( what are these?

it's just how they grow.

when they sprout, you get 2 single leaves (cotyledon)

they increase in complexity (# on each leaf) through veg.

if growing from seed, you'll see branches come out 2 at a time. like a Y

if you are growing from clone (ie the mother had already shown its sex) you will likely be having branches coming out one per node, alternating sides.

Once you go from flower to veg, the # decreases, back down to 1 (though small leaves of five can still be found mid-bud)

hth

btw, there is a growers section on the forum, for real help from people that know their stuff.
