View Full Version : Price Scale

So my dealer skips town and I've got a new guy. Good friend of mine, actually, who's getting fronted with a few ounces at a time from some ultra-secret connection. Anyway, a g goes for 20, 1/8 for 50, 1/4 for 80, 1/2 for 150 and an oz for 250. Or so I thought, the guy wants $300. So am I wrong in thinking that this scale evinces a price of $250/oz? Should I pay the extra 50 this once and find find a new dealer? I'd rather just not have to deal with anyone, but growing my own is presently beyond my means.

I've been in similiar situations. You definately do not want to alienate a friend or a drug resource. If I had a lot of different places to get my herb from then I wouldn't really stress about this, but the way you made it sound this guy is your only guy. In order to keep both professional and personal relationships in good standing you can only cancel your order if you guys are the closest friends and he did not have to do anything to get it. Another way to get out would be to lessen your order... get a 1/8 instead--you get pot at a decent price and your friend still makes loot (just on a smaller scale); he cannot get pissed at you for this. With the leftover loot go find a cheaper dealer. The last suggestion I've got for you is to just ask your good friend what the hell is up with the price hike... if you guys are that close it shouldn't be too hard to get to the bottom of it... and possibly a better price. But doobies always help in situations like these, keep that in mind.

Think about it dude, if your dealer wants to make any money at all or even just smoke for free, he is going to need to raise his prices.(Duh) So unless he is buying in some serious bulk(1/4lb.-1/2lb.) he himself is probably getting the ounces for around 230-260 a piece, and thats where he comes up with your price of 300. Remember, dealing weed isnt a hobby and people usually do it only either to make money or to make the amount they smoke cost less.

Hey mellow those prices are a little pretty steep, but they are pretty close to actual american pot prices(on the main page). Im sure in Canada pot is a little cheaper because there is a much bigger supply around, but it really all depends on your own connections. Im sure there are people in Canada who dont get as good of deals as you do.

Wel I've decided to suck it up and pay the extra 50. All my stoner friends are sketchy about whether it's 250 or 300. I still think it should be 250, but I'm not going to get too upset about it since the holiday season is upon us tommorrow and my other connections are even worse. I'll wait and see how much he gets the next 3 ounces for and see if we can't work out a deal over a few joints (thanks for the suggestion burgess!).
The prices here are steep. I live in Canada. Thompson, Manitoba to be precise. Just look it up in an atlas and you'll see why pot is so expensive. I've got friends down south though who can get me the goods for $10/g but trips back and forth are few and far between.

that the same price as my stuff, but its not expensive, its seedless and stemless, its da bomb. if you find a dealer you feel safe buying from then stick with him. if you become friends you may get a good deal, thats what i do.

If it's dank it'll be worth the money without a price break.

yea i think the only reason a cop would mess with anyone on here is if someone was going around flaunting that he has like 20 pounds and he's gonna be bringing ti across borders or some shyt....

Where I live (Michigan) O's go for 360 for seriously dank bud, 200 for 1/2, 110 for 1/4, 60 for 1/8, and 20 for a g.
For brick weed, it's 10 a g, and 120 an O.
For something in the middle, it's, well, in the middle.

It's all about supply and demand, man. Aside from the inevitable price boost caused by the illegality of the whole process, dealers will charge what they think makes a fair profit, and people will pay what they think is a fair price. If everyone stopped paying for the really dank buds, dealers would be forced to lower their prices.
Or, you could just buy in bulk. I'm saving my monthly weed money for the next couple months so I can buy a bunch at once and save a whole shitload of money.
