Are you kidding me? I have been respectfully reading about you guys on the CO threads for about a year. Anyway, we are in Illinois and if you are in Michigan we are coming there! Closer to our families! YES!

I'd also like to know where you are or near in Michigan? Hubby is a disabled vet and asks me about you guys all the time. He even said he'd move to the mountains. :D

That is great!!!! Please keep us updated. Ann Arbor is an area we have considered since it's closest to a Veteran's Hospital.

Since the Veteran's Administration eased up their rules regarding medical cannbis we are on the "move" to get where it's legal! :D

I am reading the MI law and cannot find anywhere that says how much per month a patient can possess. It says 2.5 ounces but not per month or every other month? Do you know? In Illinois they are pushing for 2 ounces every two months which leaves the patient at one ounce per month. Either way, not sure we'll see it passed here. Very conservative areas. :wtf:

Thanks! Just told Jim and he's ready!

It's 2.5oz at any given time. However, should it become an issue for some reason, it could come down to what you can reasonably consume. The language is below.

[Patient] is in possession of an amount of marihuana that does not exceed the amount allowed under this act. The presumption may be rebutted by evidence that conduct related to marihuana was not for the purpose of alleviating the qualifying patient's debilitating medical condition or symptoms associated with the debilitating medical condition, in accordance with this act.

So, buying 2oz every other day along with other evidence would probably go against you in court.

Are there people out there that can smoke 2oz every other day? :D My hubby is cool with 2oz a month. That's all he'd need to get off these damn pills.

I know of people in Michigan that carry 2.5oz at all times and they are never over their limit. They have timing down perfect with their strain of grow, it is crazy. The people that are going through 2.5oz within a couple of days are the people who will make the legal factors more strict.

Not true, what you need to do is get physicians and the State to recognize the benefits of edibles and tinctures that take allot more meds to produce correctly, they work very well for long time relief and also work well getting folks of pain pills cause it stays in your system so much longer. The State of Colorado has officially recognized the benefits of edibles and honor the higher plant counts recommended by physicians. Therefore if a doc knows you ingest it he may write on your paperwork, patient allowed to grow 48 plants and possess 16oz. this is what you guys need to focus on when petitioning the State and Physicians.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

its really not as hard as people think to go through 2.5 ounces in a short period of time. thats about a weeks worth of weed for hubby and I and that doesnt include any edibles. i would use an ounce to make 1/2 poun d of butter which only makes 12 doses of brownies. with the amount of pain i am in i could dose in the morning and then dose again half way through the day. for me to only harvest 2.5 oz every month, that wouldnt be near enough. but hubby is also going to be the care taker for my mother, and her dose is 1/4 maybe even 1/5 of what mine is.
