I use it all the time...never seen a worm come out?...gnats...yes..but, no worms. It was probably contaminated at the store you bought it at....with local worms...:D
I would hit the auto-destruct button & put a DDT bag over the house...or research it farther?

Yeah, having worms get into an indoor grow is not a common problem. The soil must have already been contaminated. If they are only 6" high, maybe you can repot them in some clean soil.

Repotting is likely not necessary, but certainly wouldn't hurt, but you'll still need to address the problem since you cannot just remove the whole root ball without killing the plant.
I would simply water with Hydrogen Peroxide, use a 3% solution, as in 3% regular h2o2 and 97% water. That will handle what's in the ground which is were they are coming from. For the leaves, if you can just pick them off that's great. If you can't then spray with Pyrethrin or BT.

worms are usually soil dwellers, you sure its not some type of larve?

Since it wouldn't hurt and is relatively cheap.. Hot Shot No Pest Strip. If that doesn't knock them out (annelid's of sorts) I am not sure if it would work or not since they are invertebrates but again, worth a try and would be educational to say the least.
