*if you feel liek skippin all that reading* my Question is, can i cutt my plant smaller without ruining or killing it? And if so how much can i cutt?

Ok, so my mother plant is starting to get way to damn big. I already have it in LST, and the top of the main stem keeps growing up and up into the light, and i am forced to keep pulling it down. Iv come to the point to were im starting to run out of room to tie down its branches, especially the maint stem since it seems to be always growing taller and taller. My question is, can i just cutt the top off a lil? Like an inche or two and my plant be fine? Iv heard if i cutt it to much i could turn it hermy, or that my plant will die. Iv already taken 4 clones from it abour 5 days ago, and trimmed off some leaves that worn't gettin enough light. Im afraid if i cutt the top thenit will be to many cuttings to stress it out? Any help is greatly apriciated...

Don't stress about you mother plant. If she has a significant, mature root system, you could cut her all the way to the very bottom of the stock as long as a few nodes are left. I take MANY clones off mine (like 8 to 10) at a time and she has never showed stress. Just make sure she is in a good environment (no heat/cold or nute stress) and she'll be fine.

You should consider cloning the mother and create a new one. Google bonsai mums! I can keep sativa hybrids 2 ft tall using that method

You should be able to keep it at less than a foot. See this: ALL ABOUT BONSAI MOMS/MUMS (http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=31919)

I keep mine a bit bigger than a foot so I can get a large amount of cuttings in one shot. But it's all up to you

If done right you should be able to take 15 - 20 in a single cutting. Keep two or three and you have 60 cuttings.
