I am in need of some help. I have recently attained my medical marijuana authorization and i feel like i'm getting ripped off. By getting My authorization i figured it should be cheaper now, but it's quite the opposite. These dispensaries charge more than street value and some of the quality is not even that good. If anyone could pm me about caregivers or wants to talk about helping me out with this. Thank you.

Realy the best alternative is what it has always been. Grow your own. Its the only way to be sure of what you're getting. I would like to see a board setup for caregivers and patients to hookup, along with some guidelines as what to look for when picking a caregiver.

Yes, it is true that some Spokane dispensaries are ripping off us medical card holders by 1 of 2 ways (or both):
1. HIGH ASS PRICES FOR SHITTY WEED
2. KEEFING (MS?) THE BUDS BEFORE YOU BUY THEM MEANING LESS THC
Buyers beware...though I have found at least 1-2 decent ones still don't like high prices! :stoned: Guess they all think we're too stoned to think or care

What is needed is more fully cured medicine, not just dried to a smokable level. All this still green stuff really ain't cutting it. Good, but rushed to soon to market. When fully cured, medicine should be a brown to gold-ish color, maybe even a bit of reds and purples. :D

$20 a gram is getting pretty high. The good stuff doesn't really cost any more to grow than the mediocre stuff. We should all strive to grow the good stuff.
$50 for 3 grams is about tops. If you're paying more than that it must be nice to be rich.lol

We are a new service to Spokane providing quality care to medical marijuana patients. Come see what sets us apart. Tired of under quality over priced medicine? SO ARE WE! At Indicare we specialize in higher quality medicine and also stock a mid grade starting donation request is only 9.00 per gram. We never ask for a donation larger than 18.00 per gram, and those are the the types of medicine you see in magizines. Come see for your self. We look forward to seeing you soon. We are open from 10AM to 6PM daily with house call service to pre verified patients. Patients can be verified M-F 10 to 5.

SW Washington is 7.15-8.60 per gram donations unless dealing with dealers then it is 9.29-11.43 per gram. I have heard it up to $15 but $20 a gram is definitely a rip off. I am sure a lot of these clinics get there goods for way cheaper I understand the business part (licensing and acquiring a place of business) but with so many patients and high demand product should move fast and prices stay down.

The Treehouse is a nice place, but when I went there, the low end stuff they sold for $10.00 was full of leaves, liked they did not properly harvest. For that $280.00 I could get some really nice stuff at one of the other dispensaries. I like the one on Freya.

The whole time i have been going to the treehouse i havent had any issue except one time i thought i didnt get proper change and also felt what i had got was a lil leafy. anywho i called back and explained the issue. I had no issues when i went back. they have a good system. I was told wait ten minutes so they could count. Soon enough i was getting back more change and also was compensated for what i felt was incorrect. It was like any real business. The customers always right. :)

This is true and I agree, but the step from growing a plant in a closet under CFL's to having a veg, flower, and cloning setup that produces constantly good medicine takes years of growing experience to repeat every grow. Don't want to relate that to cost, but where does the experience come into play?
I have a pal I gave a clone to of every plant I have. Told him everything to do, and he did, but he still cannot grow the same species even close to as well as I can. He still has a learning curve with all of the knowledge that I gave him. I shortened his curve by years by having the good gene pool to start with, but growing is not foolproof, and my buddy is no fool. He needs years to really get the feel.
Down the road, as legalization finally comes along, the folks that have 'the touch' will always be in demand, those that just grow for golly gee whiz let's make some bucks, will not have the client demand after a few short months as the legal market develops. Thus the market will have specialization and that may be more costly.
I realize much of this thread is about dispensary meds, which fortunately I dont' have to worry about, just random morning thoughts that might fit into the conversation regarding other aspects of growing. (Kinda like it takes a couple moments for the doc to check you out and then send you a $250 bill to tell you you have a cold....paying for that experience and education is what is happening.

I like to think about lawyers. The best lawyers are paid ungodly amounts of money for what costs them basically nothing to produce. Legal opinions.
They are paid so much explicitly because of their experience and knowledge.
It doesn't cost an attorney any more to give you a good legal opinion than it would for me to give you a bad one. Obviously, one of them aint worth paying for.
and as you pointed out, the driving cost behind meds is not the simple dollar cost to produce it.
