The box is 4x3.5x4...Still got to caulk it, paint it, and cut intake and exhaust...
So far I have a home depot 250cfm inline fan,2 48" shop lights and a box of 40w T12 that i've had for a while(never thought I would ever use them:jointsmile:)...
So here's my thoughts...Veg 6 under my T12's until I can afford a 400w or 600w MH/HPS, and LST...I would like to get more cfm but($$$)... Do u guys think I will have heat issues with my 250cfm and MH/HPS? If there is a better cheaper option that will yield as good as MH/HPS, im all ears...
and yes... I've found this site about a month ago and been study'n(Kick Ass Site)...I am a 1st timer, so any 2cents would be appreciated...

go ahead and start those plants under the T12s they'll do fine under them, go to youtube and watch Mr. Greens I grow chronic series, to help you get a little better idea of what the flouro tubes will do for you, I would get some CFL bulbs, 23w 5500-6500k work well for veg, but I personally use the 2700k bulbs because that's what I have, then just put say 3 sockets, with a splitter in each, to have a total of 6 bulbs in there.
Those flouro tubes have very little light penetration, so keep them really close to the plant tops, 1 to 3 inches. I use the CFLs along with some T5s I got from Lowes, shame they only have 3500k, but I'll use them until I get some high output bulbs. If you dont know what I'm talking about when I say 3500k I'm talking about the light spectrum, 2700k is more yellow, while 6500k is more whitish blue.
That's a very small box. you gotta keep in mind the size of the fixture, the pots you're putting in, and how big the bulbs are... and with the CFM, you are already doing just fine, you only need to vent the air in the room every 5 minutes, so you have plenty of air flow. Only thing I would say is... good luck, and don't let that MDF board get wet, it'll expand and crumble...
