... When will it stop? ...

Maybe in four months in California, and hopefully growing rapidly accross all the rest of the States soon after, if the sky doesn't fall there.

Interesting article, that really sucks, I hope that guys get's a good lawyer and wins the probable cause pre hearing . . . and then sues 'em. :smokin:

this is very interesting I thought, from that article.

A new study released Wednesday says legalizing the recreational use of marijuana in California could sharply drive down prices for the drug ...

The authors predict that retail marijuana prices could drop from $375 an ounce under the state's current medical marijuana law to as low as $38 per ounce.

$38 for an oz of California's finest medical grade cannabis!! :) that is another trend I hope we see all accoss the States.

Wow, that's cheap! They're probably going to have to drop the prices on an ounce by the time California imposes an outragous tax on it. Hopefully it won't get too crazy.

seems to me that the people of Arizona should support California's Prop 19. It this ^ turns out to be true, as RAND as predicted, then this would be the end of one of Arizona's bigger problem. They would still have illegals, coke and meth coming across the border, but losing the cannabis market would surely be a major body blow to the drug cartels and their crooked partners here in the US known as cannabis prohibitionists. :twocents:

yeah, isn't that awesome. I gotta get back to the left coast now. :stoned:

here is the whole text with RAND's estimate of $91 per oz. with tax included if 19 passes in Nov.

cmon, Cali. I'm tempted to move back now so I can vote on it. :rastasmoke:

A new study released Wednesday says legalizing the recreational use of marijuana in California could sharply drive down prices for the drug and possibly undercut the tax windfall that supporters have touted.

The study published by the RAND Drug Policy Research Center says "considerable uncertainty" surrounds the state ballot initiative.

It would allow adults, 21 and over, to possess an ounce of marijuana and cities and counties to license and tax commercial pot sales.

The authors predict that retail marijuana prices could drop from $375 an ounce under the state's current medical marijuana law to as low as $38 per ounce.

According to the RAND analysis, consumers would pay more than that -- about $91 an ounce -- once taxes imposed by local governments are figured in.
