I went and got some stuff for my growroom today... I just got a 6" duct fan for now... Anyways, when I got my power cord (like a dumb ass) I got one without the green ground... Wired up the black and white, still works, but should i worry about my house burnin to the ground?

oh yeah, it will be plugged into a power strip that does have a ground...

The third prong on the electrical cord is called an equipment ground. It's nice to have so you don't get a poke if you touch the fan while standing on a cement floor with bare feet. There is no threat of fire hazard for not having one though.
For instance, some guitar amps come with a ground lift switch in the event that you get a buzz through your guitar from lights being on the same circuit. You can throw the switch to cancel the equipment ground in the power cable and you won't be grounded with the lights anymore, but your amp won't blow up or catch on fire... unless you get carried away in the moment and do a Jimi Hendrix torch job on it.
The power strip is a good idea though. Most power strips have a surge protector or breaker switch in them that will kick off to protect your equipment in the event of an overload in the circuit due to a lightning strike or an electrical ground out such as your utility coming off the house from a tree limb falling on the wires, like what happened to me.
Just don't put more amperage draw on a circuit than the breaker is rated for. Try to spread out your lights, fans, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, etc... on separate circuits where all possible. Remember... safety first.

we got along just fine in this country with no 3rd ground since the beginning of electricity. They only put that 3rd wire in about 30 years ago. You only need the black and white to make it work. The ground would prevent that jolt you will get, even if you get jolted it wouldn't hurt that much, if the wires get crossed and your breaker doesn't blow. Usually your breaker will blow if you short out your device but unless your just ultra safety conscious it's not a necessity.

Thanks again... ill post some pics once i get started on buildin it... was gonna go with 4x3.5x6, but the price of maconite is up there, so to save money im just gonna do 4x3.5x4... think that will still make a good yield with 6 LST?

just remember to leave enough room for them to spread out. It doesn't take a lot of plants to feed one man. Dont bite off too many. 5 is usually a good number to start off with. 5 females that is. Usually that means 10 seeds for the first go until you figure out which are females and then from there 5 is usually enough and then some.
