I just bought a 270w enhanced spectrum supernova LED. I have been waiting a while to get this up and going. I sold my drums to help fund this set up. I am gonna do a cabinet grow. Not really sure on the best type of cabinet to use. Would a metal storage type of cabinet from lowes or a wal mart type store be the best? Would it be better to use a wood type cabinet of the same size? Is a metal cabinet better than a wood cabinet or vice versa? Does it even matter? I am thinking of something that is 72"h x 36-48" w x 18-24"d. I hope that is sufficient for 3-4 of my medicinal plants. I will have the cabinet in a closet so I am going to modify it to have an intake and exhaust system with a carbon filter, that will go up through the closet ceiling into an attic type area with ducting, to vent up and out near the top of the house. Any suggestions on adjusting the red and blue spectrums would be greatly appreciated! I will take all the advice I can get. Should I do soil or hydro with this light and system. Ive been leaning towards hydro. I would really love to hear from anyone with some great advice especially someone who owns this light. Thanks

Sorry don't know much about the light but go with wood. Metal will trap heat and conducts electricity :( Size of the cab sounds pretty good. Soil vs. hydro, i guess it depends on how much time you have to put into it. Hydro will take some time to figure out while soil is more forgiving and doesn't require daily maintenance/care. Have you looked into coco?

Your right about the wood. Should have thought about that. I prob will go with soil. I am a rookie don't want to get to far in over my head to start out. I will check out the coco. Thanks bro. :greenthumb:

I just got it bout a week ago. I am still getting my plan together. Gonna be at least a month or so before I am up and running. I bought it after what I thought was some pretty good info and research on it. The Enhanced Spectrum SuperNova includes six additional custom spectrums of LED light. These added LEDâ??s extend the photosynthetic range covering the entire spectrum from 405nm to 465nm in the blue, as well as 620nm to 740nm in red. Got that bit of info off the hid hut site. Pretty sure you are right about the 1w diodes. Any suggestions on a light with 3w diodes that has the full spectrum? That was one of the things that I liked about the light was that I would not have to add any extra light to complete the spectrum. The dispensary were I get my medicine says they have been experimenting with the standard spectrum and have gotten great results. But hey I would love to hear any info you got! I have checked out some of your thread. Actually I never heard of the procyons b4. I checked out their site also are those 3w diodes. Is that a good stand alone led light. Thanks for the input! :greenthumb:

procyons are a good light for veg...needs additonal lighting for flowering...the ones i use in flower are WEX-C150...they have a full spectrum and use 3w diodes...if you want more info on them email me...my screen name @gmail.com
