Mike says Afghanistan is Obama's war of choice and it's all his fault.
I'm confused as to how 2001 and Obama have anything to do with each other. I'm not even sure he was a Senator yet.
Do you agree with the leader of the GOP?
Do you agree he should resign?

Yes and Yes.
Obama is the President of the United States and the Commander in Chief. He is the decider. of course any military action under his watch is his choice and all strategy and tactics (military and civilian) that affects our success there is his responsibility. :twocents:
and yes, Steel should have resigned after his adventures in the bondageland and I doubt these comments will set well with most GOP'ers but I am not a repub so I don't really care what they do.
^ that's not to say Congress doesn't have a critical role, too. Afterall, only Congress can declare (and fund) war, although over the past several decades the executive branch has taken on more authority to declare "police actions". I think this war was Congressional declared nine years ago, but a lot has happened on the ground since then. I think its within the White House's authority to change stategies without an act of Congress but I'm no Constitutional scholar.

Bush started, Obama escalated it. Either congress or the president could end it overnight if they wanted. But the truth is it will take thousands of more soldiers dieing before people will get pissed off enough to start rioting in the streets and try to put an end to it. Nam all over again except this time it doesn't appear anyone cares.

Yes he should resign..... He is No Conservative Republican. He is a RINO POS.
Its Not Obamas war... It is Civilized Societies war.

I not could agree more, KW. Last week the pentagon released the names of 18 more young soldiers killed in Afgan and Iraq. Nobody even seems to care. what the fuck has happened to this country? We have all, as a nation, swallowed the neo-con koolaid and have come to accept our role as the world's sole police force, even at the cost of our best men and women's lives, as being the natural state of affairs. it truly is becoming Nam all over again but at least during Nam there was always a robust resistance by the people, now the people just shut up and accept that its okay. :wtf:

I find it odd that we did all the fighting and heavy lifting and Japan and China come along and Karzai said he has to respect their contribution and give THEM first dibs on mineral wealth.
We die and they get the goodies.
Karzai needs to go, and we need to come home.
