Brad Boda
A former youth counselor at a Longmont church who sexually assaulted boys over a 13-year period was sentenced this morning to 20 years in prison, followed by 10 years to a lifetime of probation.
Bradley Harlan Boda, 39, admitted at the sentencing hearing that he sexually assaulted boys at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Longmont, where he worked as a youth counselor from 1991 to 2004.
He also abused a neighbor boy during that period and a patient when he worked as an X-ray technician at Longmont United Hospital, according to police.
Boda, who has lived in Berthoud and worked as a counselor at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins for years since the assaults, apologized to the victims and their families in court.
??I do not want you to leave court today with a half admission,? Boda told his victims. ??I molested you and I molested your children, and I am 100 percent wrong.?
After Boda is released from prison, he will live under supervision on probation for at least 10 years. If he violates the conditions of his probation, he will be sent back to prison.
