So we are expecting an announcement tomorrow at 4:20 if we have enough signatures to turn in, The numbers I am hearing are putting us really close, This really is coming down to every last signature gathered, My personal thoughts and calculations are saying we did it, but who knows what kinds of returns we are going to get today and tomorrow, It also depends on how many of those signatures are valid, keep your fingers crossed,,,

If it makes it to the ballot and gets passed, then we need to make sure its set in stone. No tamper proof documents, no nada if you are over 18. Just show your ID and you are on your way free as a bird!!!!! :D

Just got back from the seattle offices and we did not make the ballot. We are however, planning on making some huge changes for next year. Everybody learned a big lesson in this campaign and the general consensus is we will do it next year. I am very interested in talking with those of you who were very active in this campaign as our work for next year will start next month and we will be holding a meeting to get started. We will have a booth at Seattle and Olympia Hempfests to start raising money now. This campaign went very far with the little resources and money we had. We raised a huge awareness of the issue to common folks so this was not a complete failure. If you were one of those people that were dedicated throughout the campaign we need you now more than ever so we can come back stronger next year. Feel free to e-mail me [email protected] so I can get your name over to the Seattle office as we are wasting no time to start over. As I know it, we will be about 40-50,000 signatures short.

Well, back to the same old bullshit. Whose authorization is legal, whose doctor will go to court, one county accepts authorizations based on medical records alone, another county the judge calls it a joke and excuse to get high, in other cases if you didn't pay some non-profit a yearly fee, they won't show in court, around and around, run the gauntlet. What a fucking mess because people couldn't get it right the first time. Well, at least the lawyers can stay in the mmj defense business a little longer and the judges can practice medicine from the bench, and interpret the law in anyway they see fit. :(

I'll be getting involved in next years initiative drive. This should allow Sensible to get more organized and maybe get a little funding for the project.
But remember. We may have to pass an intiative every 2 years. If it does get passed next year its going to be interesting to watch the legislature mutilate it.
