Heyall, a friend just gave me a 3 foot tall, beautiful and healthy plant. I know the root system must be massive. It's currently in his garden, but it needs to be moved because his parents are moving back to the US. I need to safely dig it up and somehow transport it to my house. I have a car but digging it it up is the problem.
Should I just put it in a 5 gallon bucket or something? How deep and wide should i dig when transplanting it, so I don't hurt the roots? And could I just put the whole 5 gallon bucket on the ground, or do i need to dig a new hole and put the plant into that at it's new location?
Thanks in advance,
