Harvest and Summer Solstice

So I have a very healthy female who had been flowering for over 8 weeks. I have been bringing the pot in and out of the house in 12 hour intervals to keep it flowering (it was planted back in mid-feb).
I have to go out of town for a 3 day weekend coming up, and I had a friend tell me that if your plant has been flowering for more than 3 weeks, after the Summer Solstice you can just leave it out and it will continue to flower...?...
I don't see any amber trichomes on the plant at all yet and I don't want to screw it up, it looking too good.
Advice?

it depends on where you live.. the summer solstice is just when days are the longest right before photoperiod starts to decrease.. where Im atdays are 14 to 15 hrs long so sudden exposure to that much photoperiod would definitely disrupt flowering. Unless you live near the equator where its almost a consistent 12/12 I think it's risky

but yea it looks like you forced flowered by keeping it around 12/12 so early in its growth.. there arent that many internodes on the plant for 1.. I dont think youll get too much more bud production out of that, especially if its been going for 8 weeks already, but what you do have looks good

It's not very long after the solstice, though, so the daylight hours are still too long. If I were you I'd simply put them inside under a fluorescent on a cheap kitchen timer for the 3 days, or if you have to, just put them in the closet. It's not going to die in three days, but if you leave it outside they're not going to completely revegg or anything, but the off and on schedule will stress the hell out of them. They might be tempted to hermie. You're better off bringing inside. Beautiful plant by the way. Good job, dude

Or you might just chop now if you feel the buds are pretty tight, you're not very far off from finishing anyway. Chop her, leave as much leaf as you can on the plant, and then put her back outside for the season. July is a good time to get more growth in and pull off a second harvest.
