Do the six plants still have to be split (3 veg & 3 flower)?

I don't see this specific requirement to "split" your plant count in 1284.

I think you'd need to default to Amendment 20 on that one.

has anyone ever been charged based on the split?

in the Constitution, it says something to the effect of mature flowering females producing a usable form.....

so if we were to get picky, mature has 50% amber trichs, in my book. It isn't mature till the day it is harvested.

I don't think we'll see smaller grows getting in trouble except for probation violations or something.

I keep seeing ads on craigslist for people calling themselves caregivers, but it more seems like they're just drug dealers. Oh well, hope the losers get caught.

uh, sorry, no. I don't even want the losers to get caught.

So the guy selling on Craigslist is a drug dealer but a dispensary or a caregiver is not....interesting.

there will be lots more ads on CL after more people get their tiered electric bills from Xcel. Mine just doubled - to over 1K for 1 month! (3kf-1kv)

How did you find out so soon? I called the electric company to get some insight and they told me that it will not be on this bill but next bill and they were not sure till the meters were read and the bill was add.

i'll have to look closer at the detail. I hope it does include the tiered rates - I'm screwed if it's just lights and AC.

oh, cozigzag - I'm running 3 x 1000's in flower and 1 x 1000 watt in veg. I think I'm going to go down to 2 and 1 for the remainder of the summer.

Anyone want to trade their 400's for my 1000's? lol

Is your setup 110 or 220? My bill was due the 21st of this month and it had the tiers and was $237. What is going on with your bill? It seems obnoxious to me.

it is! really, it doubled in one month.

I just looked, and I have non-summer, summer tier1 and summer tier2.

I'll let you know what my bill is next month at this time. I'm running the same setup as you with 220.

My house doesn't require AC and neither do my rooms at this point.

Thats got to be more than just your lights, are you running AC? I'm running 4 1000's and my bill last month was just a little over $300.

yes, it is certainly more than just lights. normally during the summer, we were 400-500.

we're going to have to deal without AC in the living area.

I wish I had an outdoor space to move to during the summer, and just shut this down for a few months.

Sounds like a good opportunity for some energy conservation projects around the house.

my disclaimer - there are a bunch of us in a big place, but there is something wrong. I am on the hunt.

Ha ha. Maybe your roommates are doing a guerilla grow unbeknownst to you! Look for wires and ducting heading into closets and stairwells.

Here is an excellent calculator that will tell you how much different things cost to run.....

How much electricity does my stuff use? (http://michaelbluejay.com/electricity/howmuch.html)

Yes, the guy selling on craigslist without a redcard is a drug dealer. Moving forward, the guy saying he's a caregiver for 50+ patients who doesn't have the off-site stuff is also a drug dealer. Am I missing something?

I am absolutely not referring to anyone with their proper paperwork and otherwise compliant doing business on craigslist. That place can be a valuable tool for caregivers to connect with patients. It's also easy to get ripped off, and there are lots of predatory people there.

It's not as interesting now is it?

if they are supplying med patients, or people are getting medical benefit - I don't think they are a 'drug dealer'

it's an herb :) ;)

oh, and an update on my electrical use - our central air unit was LOADED with cottonwood crap. I'm sure our bill will dramatically drop now.

Go check yours! It's big dollars with the new rates.

Suspending my growing for the next few months. I am pulling down the last of my flower room in the next couple of days. I really feel with the new rates from Xcel it will not be affordable for me to grow. Better for me to just lay off and start again in late September or so. Good luck to those sticking it out this summer, let us know what happens to those utility bills.

In the eyes of the law, they are drug dealers, they are not providing any medical benefit to anyone. Again, in the eyes of the law, which is really the only thing that matters. I wasn't really looking to get into a philosophical discussion on the medical benefits or lack thereof with regards to cannabis.

But I'm pretty sure we'd agree so it's just a waste of time.:)
