Im glad the President has appointed Patreus to replace McChrystal, but I wonder if he feels any irony in turning to the hero of the Iraq surge to try and bail his administration out of Afghanistan? Afterall, The President OPPOSED the surge before it happened, and then claimed it only made modest gains in improving Iraq. Here is the President on video is his 8 minute questioning of Patreaus. Who knows what Patreaus can do by July of next year, our PREANNOUNCED exit date of Afghanistan. What a joke.

Maybe Obama should admit he was wrong about the surge and Patreus in general? They could have a "wheat grass summit."
