I can't really say about the GED, but I've taken the CLEP test for university level and skipped freshman year. Its probably based similar as you are given one point for right answers and a deduction of, I think, 1/3 point for each wrong answer. There are study guides you can buy with practice tests. If you paid half attention in school, you should be able to pass.
I might add for any wise acres, I got honors credits for my CLEP and graduated both bachelors and masters with 3.24 and 3.83 respectively. With a few honors quarters and semesters. I don't believe in perfection.

passing the test isnt about being book smart, its about being semi smart in general. go to the bookstore and grab the study book for the g.e.d test and study it. you'll be fine. anyone that can do basic math and write basic english should be able to pass from what ive heard.

lets just say its not the hardest test you'll ever have to take. you could pass it with an 8th grade education. I dropped out of HS when I was 16 cuz I thought I wanted to be a lil thug and run the streets. Got my GED last year(at age 20) and feel a lot better about myself. I wish i would've stayed in HS though. Everyone tells you GED is the same as a HSD but i promise its not. Any employer including the United States Military would rather have a HS grad working for them than a GED grad. Trust me. If you have the option to stay in school I recommend you do and tough it out.

Also, if you search the web, there are now places who will give you a HS Diploma if you take the GED test through them. There is a fee, but a diploma is better then a certificate. Take it and get it done and don't stop your education. Keep moving up!

The GED test is super easy. Just don't get too stoned before you take it. Pot+Math=shit. I'm a straight 4.0 college student but the one time I tried to take an math test stoned I got a 1.3. Pot helped me get a 4.0 in my English class though. If you have to write a paper, do it stoned, but proof read it not stoned....Actually proof read it stoned, then do it again not stoned....yeah, thats a good idea.:D

Well..... Despite the fact that 8th grade was the end of my childhood schooling... I Passed first try with flying colors.
With that said, I am an autodidact and am always studying one thing or another, so I guess you can say I am rather book smart. I didn't even bother with those GED courses I have heard people taking at night school and the such, just went downtown, signed up, and showed up next couple days for the tests and passed them all. I was probably pretty well lit too, usually am :D (wouldn't suggest it)

i was told by my principal to not even bother going to skool for the last two weeks of 8th grade because i was going to fail anyways.
i failed 9th 10th and 11th grade. i just dropped out on my junior year.
skool jjust isnt for me.... never was i sucked!
i just gave this ged thing a try... i didnt even study or go to classes to get ready for the GED test. I passed it like NOTHING! needles to say i was really high on every test day lol. idk if that had anything to do with it.
it was sooooo easy. an average 6th grader could EASILY pass it.
its no biggie at all. very basic stuff. if you have common sence you can pass it garanteed.
