I am uncomfortable speaking with my current physician about medical marijuana but am curious if it could be right for me. I suffer from chronic anxiety and depression as well as insomnia. Iv been prescribed several medications to treat these conditions but they do little to alleviate the problems and have less than desirable side effects. I am 18 years of age and am a Washington state resident, I am unsure about how I should go about seeking a knowledgeable and respectable doctor to whom I could speak with about this.
I don't know a lot about Washington's medical marijuana laws and was wondering if my ailments are treatable by medical marijuana? I want to stay within the law and am seeking an alternative to the medications I am currently taking.

see State of Washington v. Jason lee Fry. chronic anxiety and depression are not covered under the MMJ Affirmative Defense laws Rcw 69.51A et. seq.
At that end I would be like 3 monkeys to anyone..just my .02

Yes but, look at state v. fry carefully if you chose to do that...it must be very carefully worded to qualify...and one must have used medicine and gone thru treatment for the pain in the head which didn't work!!
So be careful here, it is thin ice and have many sharks awaiting to eat you...:(

The easiest answer is usually to have them prescribe you opiate based drugs and say they make you throw up. A lot of people are opiate intolerant. NSAIDS are also tough on a lot of people.
