One of my friends had one of these. I don't know if it was his vape, or if all are like this, but if the tiniest bit of air got blown back into the whip, it would blow the weed into the coil and burn.

I ordered my SSV from Volcano Vaporizer, Herbal Vaporizer, Extreme Vaporizer, Vapir Vaporizer (http://www.vapeworld.com) with the 10% code(10-OFF-10) the total came to $287USD($305CDN) I found VapeWorld was the best place to order, they offered a great variety of customized Silver Surfers, and most importantly they ship to Canada ($25 shipping option, Free shipping for US residents). I really wanted the custom edition White but they were out of stock. I decided on the RED custom edition model and was eagerly waiting for its arrive. I received an email a few hours later telling me the red SSV was out of stock and I had to wait a week for the new order to come in. No biggie, I even asked if they were getting any of the white SSV's anytime soon and that I would take whatever came in first. A week after the order came in I got my new SSV in the mail.
To my surprise it was the beautiful white SSV(sorry if the quality sucks I took the pictures with my blackberry).

And the best part of it was I didn't have to pay any duties, taxes, freight fees, or HST(new tax on goods and services that came into effect on July 1,2010) when it arrived crossing the border.
Excellent purchase decision and shopping experience! They even threw in a free grinder and this awesome hemp bag (in pictures link).

That's pretty much true of all whip vaporizers. That doesn't happen with the non-whip portable Vapor Genie though. :)

I kinda disagree with your description of "the tiniest bit of air" blowing "the weed" back into the heater cover. Accidentally exhaling, instead of inhaling, will generally blow some particles back in, but how much depends on how much/hard you exhale. It's an easy thing to avoid (just part of the learning curve), and if it happens, no big deal. The particles will usually flash into ash and be gone.
I like my SSV. The ergonomics suit me, and I couldn't ask for better performance from an analog whip model.

That usually more of a concern for other models like vapbros and da buddha. The Silver Surfer is angled so you have to connect the whip at an upward angel which makes it a lot tougher than other models that are leveled or even the opposite angel. Hope I said this clearly, lol.

It really didn't take much at all to blow a decent sized portion back. Even a little snicker while smoking it would cause much damage. And since we could have the room smelling like weed at all, when it burned off it became problematic.
Also, not all whip vapes do that. Mine has a screen infront of the coil, which eliminates that problem. You can actively blow in it(Though have no idea why you would...) and that doesn't happen. Great for a clumsy person like me.

I could see this happening with a DBV, but with the SSV you would have to make more of an effort to get the herb to fly back into the HC.
BTW, My SSV fucking rocks. I managed to snag one of the last remaining Mind Eraser edition SSVs. Shes a beaut!
