What a cool thing. Not only did my plate of Neville's Haze buds win a poll on Canna Cabana as bud of the month but the August High Times just hit the news stands and in the "Pix of the Crops" is a photo of my beautiful Blueberry plant from last season!
Anyways, on with the grow. I'm germinating a few old F2s I made of Foxy Seed's Afghani Dream x BOG Medley. This strain is from our one and only Stinkyattic.
Check out the seed crop (http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/102542-shovs-afghani-x-bog-medley-spring-grow.html)...

Ok, it's been one month since I planted the first seeds. There are eight nice Afghani Dream x BOG Meldey in 3 gallon bags under a 400 watt MH. There are around eight 6" pots with Z11 sativa pheno x MR. Nice's Neville's Haze. Those are nine days old. I'll likely flip them all in two weeks. I'll get some photos this week, I promise! ;)

It's good to see you again, old friend! I'm glad to see you're getting some well-deserved recognition too - that's some sweet press, congratulations!
From the sounds of your thread, you're keeping your 2 hands full of green thumbs busy these days tending some really great sounding strains. I'm hopeful I'll have time to pull up a spot on the couch and absorb some of the knowledge your imparting.
Be good out there, amigo.

Transplanted six Z11 sativa x NH into 6 gallon grow bags. Flipped the timer to 12/12 and changed the MH to HPS.
The Afghani are 6 weeks, the Z11 are three weeks.
No pictures (yeh, I did promise). But they are not photoworthy yet. I think they had trouble with too hot soil. I think they should be getting better soon.

One week later... AfghaniXs are looking pretty good and show 8/8 females (one may be a hermie right out of the gate though). The sativas are coming around pretty well also, inspite of the problems with either hot soil mix and/or hard well water.

The one runt that is yet to determine looks like it will be fem too. You have to love it!!! The first time I planted NH I got 7/7 Males and a total of 4/18 females after all were started. This is more like it! :D

I did notice they were starting to smell a little. None of the strains were real stinkers, but the NH smells so nice when burned. It's sweet like church incense. The Z11 smells mild, floral and the indica is hashy.

Plants are filling out, crooked from the LST. Fed them and washed them today. I have so many things going on lately, I'll get pics up next week, promise. ;)
I have plants outdoors, some in pots, some in the ground. I plan on transplanting those shortly after they show sex. Depending how things are going indoors, I'll either bring them in to replace the indicas as they finish or just move them to a safer place outdoors.

Now 5 weeks into bloom and the afghani buds are all seedy and I have no idea where the pollen came from. They still have time to put out lots of new buds though. The sativa hybrid matured a few weeks after the afghani so I doubt that the sativa pollenated the afghani. As I will point out, the afghanis also have a hermie this grow.
Photos of the grow. The plants were drying out when I looked at them today so I wet them down and fed them before I took the photos.

You must have got the last of em then,... I tried to get some and they were out of stock. :( Had to change my order to Vaniluna, but that's OK since I've got a blueberry genetic going ATM anyway. (just don't know the breeder)

I don't mind when a strain will put out one or two beans to the ounce. Bonus points! It's nice to have them feminized seeds to grow. I just don't understand how these indoor plants got so seedy when I've never seen a single sac. I've not grown a 'seed crop' in years, but even then I don't think I ever got a plant like these. Now days I pollenate a single branch if I want seeds. That has worked very well for me.
Thanks for the replies, folks.

I put the four outdoor plants into 3 gallon bags and now have 18 plants under the 400 watt light (with 216 w of sidelights). I used the garden soil mixed with peat moss, but it was still very, very dense and heavy. I just hope I didn't carry any undesirable bugs or anything indoors with it. So far so good.
The Afghani Dream x BOG Medley buds are all red haired but the trics are all clear still. I'm betting on them finishing on week eight. The Z11 x Neville's Haze are coming along slowly but surely. They may finish on week twelve. Z11 is a indica dom hybrid but the mother Z11 for the seed was the only sativa looking offspring ever. It looked 100% sativa. These plants have a few different looks. I'll try and get some photos later. :hippy:
All in all, the plants are not as large as usual but they are ok. There are enough of them that the total may hit one pound.

Have you tried "Smart Pots"?
smart pots - Google Product Search (http://www.google.com/products?client=safari&rls=en&q=smart+pots&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=d9eSTKbZK5D2tgOJrejACg&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&ct=title&resnum=3&ved=0CEUQrQQwAg)
Basically its a bag, but made from stuff like the "weed blocker" fabric you put under rockscaping or mulch in your garden. It breathes really well,... too well in some peoples opinion,...(great for heavy soils) my blueberry is in a 3 gallon smart pot,... needs about 1.5 gallons every 2-3 days.

thanks for the tip...that's a lot of water for a 3 gallon bag? How much are these smart pots? The plastic bags are .20 ea.
This is the first time I used top soil in a bag or indoors. Everything just grew so well in this composted soil this season that I thought I'd continue with the soil when I moved indoors for the Fall. I'll try a smart pot sometime if I find them in the nursery stores.

with these sativas it doesn't seem to matter. They are all the same hybrid but lots of different phenos and growth. They were also separated into three or four groups, some outdoors longer than others before I brought them back in, some stayed in. Some look almost done, some have a long ways yet to go. That's pretty good though. There are 18 in a 4' x 3' footprint and as they thin out the remainders should find the extra light and space agreeable. Photos later this week.

haven't weighed, but them first eight were little. But under a footprint of 3' x 4' there were up to 26 plants and 18 are still thriving. I'd guess at 3+ ounces to 8 plants = 10+ grams each. They also seemed to suffer some in the beginning from soil problems. The quality of this indica bud is truely outstanding though.

I sure will. It looks like four will be ready to harvest within a week or so. Most of the others and still stretching and producing light, sativa buds so they may be a while yet. The six plants that have been indoors all along are at week 11 and I'd guess that some of the hazy phenos may look at 14++ weeks total. They're all getting tric coated pretty good though! :smokin:

Ibin buzy. So no photos. It's just starting week twelve bloom for the group of six plants grown totally indoor. Two other groups of the same hybrid were put outdoors at different times and conditions. If you haven't been following, all plants are indoors now. So with the individual phenos and bloom stages it should be a real holling harvest for a while. Four of the plants that went outdoors look colsest to ready, maybe this week (week 12). Others are in many different bloom stages and spurts and it's hard to guess which will mature next. But there are hazey phenos that can be expected to take 16+ weeks (another month or more). As they are crowded, 18 plants in 3 gallon bags as close as the bags can get. Dense.
I'll get some new pics up this week sometime.

I moved two of the 'garden' plants out of the light and pulled them free from the pots, cutting off the roots. I will let them stay like this for three days before I cut and hang to dry. These are pretty much the most indica flavored of all the hybrids.
